We rented a cabin for two nights after Thanksgiving. It was the last cabin available. When we got there we learned why the demand. Our cabin had been completely renovated. And, the cabin was located on the rim of Pine Mountain, so our rocking chairs overlooked a twenty mile view. Full kitchen, two fireplaces, not bad. The park is a... More

We visited in the fall so the weather was very cool. We weren't sure what tail to do, so the ranger recommended a few for us. He was very helpful and the walk was nice. We didn't get to see everything in the park, but would definitely love to go back to camp and do more of the trails. It... More

This is a great place where you can start the 23 mile hike from many different places along route 190. There are several short to mid length "loops" at each place you go to. Well marked trails and some small waterfalls along the way.

Beautiful park with trails and picnic tables, campsites and over looks. You could spend a week here with all the hiking trails. It was a gorgeous fall day but I'm sure anytime of the year is a great time for a visit.

The park is absolutely beautiful; on a scale with many national parks. Hiking trails abound and the parking fee is reasonable--$5 per car at this writing. The camping areas are very well maintained. All in all--first class!

We journeyed with 13 & 14 year old boys. Tent camped (the old fashioned way) but with electric. You know teenagers these days, can't go anywhere without their cellphones. When they weren't glued to their phones we had a wonderful time. We had a spot next to the lake, it was so beautiful. The park was clean and the staff... More

We spent a day hiking in F.D. Roosevelt State Park and found it a very well kept park with good amenities. We hiked the Wolfden and also visited the park office and Dowdell Knob. All the trails we hiked were in good condition with the exception of a couple areas around the creeks on the Wolfden trail. All the trails... More

Went hiking with the family. Trails are marked well. Not a significant elevation change to wear you out but enough for some good vues. Little to no cell reception.
