Have you ever seen a rather attractive older lady and wondered what she must have looked like 20 years ago? Welcome to the Frog. Tee boxes and greens with weeds growing through them. Fairway bunkers with hard pact sand, and being over grown by weeds. Maintenance crews working in the fairways while people have to play around them. I saw one young man get yelled at by the maintenance crew for not raking the sand trap, to which the kid held up the rake. Half of it was gone. Rate of play was slow (Friday afternoon on a holiday weekend). No rangers, no drink cart. I get the distinct feeling that this course is in the process of being sold off. Just a hunch. Terrible hole placement. The tee markers were all laid about six feet or less apart.

This course needs a lot of work for what they charge. I paid $52 weekday senior rate and the bunkers had more grass and weeds growing in them than they had sand. Greens had been punched which they failed to mention. Although it was pretty busy, there was no beverage cart running. Very poor experience. Will not be back.

If you can get a discount rate I’d still recommend this course for the layout. Unfortunately, there is a major shortage of sand in most bunkers, and if you know the course bunkers are plentiful. They seem to be having problems dealing with a variety of weed grasses, both on greens and throughout the course. Disappointing for a $50+ rate.

Golfing here is good for the value

Can't beat this course for the money. Senior rate is $39.00 weekdays. Greens are fast. Bunkers are Sandy. Fairways are good. I try to play here 2 or 3 times a month

Chef is amazing. The dinners he puts together on Friday nights are to die for Open to the public so you all should really take the family out to visit them.

This Tom Fazio golf course is the best layout on the west side of Atlanta. Also one of the best in the state of Georgia. You will not find a better deal or friendlier people!

I've heard about The Frog for years and finally got around to playing it today. It is the best public course I've found in the Atlanta area. I think the greens fee of $60+ is a good value for a course of this quality.

Make the drive.....you won't regret it!

The Frog has had its ups and downs over the past several years, but things are really turning for the better. The new clubhouse is beautiful, and the course is in fantastic condition. The fairways are fairly open and somewhat forgiving, but quality play is certainly rewarded. This course truly is among the best in the Atlanta area.

I just moved out to Dallas and was looking for a good course to play locally so I would no longer need to travel 30+ minutes to swing the sticks. I booked a tee time because of the price being fare especially with GPS in the carts. Upon arrival we were very impressed from the neighborhood layout, to the brand new Club House. Definitely an A+ course. Once we got out of the pro shop all was good through hitting on the Driving Range, then we met the ladies of the Course! We had a 930 am tee time so we figured we would be going behind and in front of other groups as you do in golf, Right???? O boy was I wrong. We pulled up to the tee box and continued to watch a group of 6 woman chatting on the tee box. As we stretched and waited by our carts another two-some pulls up and goes around us and says we're with them. So now if my math is correct that makes an eight-some????? So I asked a kid driving around in a golf cart if we could play through them and he said they should let us due to the non traditional size of there group. SO, we walked up and politely asked if we could play through? Harmless enough question seeing as you get asked that on a regular basis especially with the size of there group. To my surprise we were told no and giggled at! So me being me I walked away because I am a little hot tempered so I decided to approach the kid on the cart again and told him what they said and he apologized. I asked if we could tee off on the 10th to start and he of course said yes. Many are going to ask why I gave a 5 Star rating and had this experience? Its not the course's fault there members are rude! That woman's group was honestly not the course's fault... However, I was super in love with the course and the way it challenges my golf game! I have a tee time tomorrow morning, I am going to give it one more chance tomorrow before I make my decision on where I want to join as a member!
