Great night out!

I live in Valdosta, so I have the opportunity to go to 'Dosta Playhouse often. I have never been disappointed in the plays that I have seen.

My husband and I have seen several performances here. We have never been disappointed in the acting! We drive from FL a few times a year specifically to see the plays and are rewarded with a well done show. To Kill a Mockingbird is still my favorite. Parking is available on the street and there are no meters. Ticket prices... More

We have been to several plays here, never had a bad experience. There is some great local talent. The building has quite a bit of history to it. If you get the chance ask one of the staff to tell you the story. Ticket prices are very reasonable and opening night of each performance is BOGO. Certain restaurants in the... More

This is one of the best community theatres in the country,. Housed in a historic theatre building in historic downtown Valdosta is provides an evening of delight. As I write this they are showing a British Comedy and come Christmas the Ginger Bread Players will display their new rendition of A Christmas Carol. You'll love it

We have been to several plays here and find the quality of the cast excellent. The Road to Bountiful was the best I'd seen anywhere -- local or Broadway offerings. Prices are reasonable, seats are comfortable and reservations are smooth. Parking is easy. What a treat.

A small town theater. Its cute, the seats are comfortable. The shows are put together very well. Overall it was nice. And I would go to another show and dinner for a date night with my husband. ( some restaurants downtown actually give you a discount if you show your ticket that you are going to see a play that... More

The playhouse is an old building so the seating, room, and stage reflect that. However, if you can look past that catching a play can be a fun evening or afternoon event. It is not expensive. It is a community theatre so don't expect Broadway but I think everyone always does a wonderful job. The Playhouse has mostly adult shows... More

Anyone coming through on show nights, just come on over to the theater, they'll find you a ticket. This is small town theater at it's finest!! Old building saved by the theater group, it's comfortable and just pure fun to be in the building. During intermission you'll find everyone spills out onto the street to visit with each other. Most... More

On Dec 7, 2013, we went to the 'Dosta Playhouse to see To Kill a Mockingbird. What a FABULOUS adaptation. The 10 year old girl who played Scout Finch was amazing - 10! Atticus Finch was played perfectly, as well. The theatre itself is very comfortable, the seating, the atmosphere, refreshments - everything. We thoroughly enjoyed a night out with... More
