Clean, beautiful soft sand, and the waves weren’t rough, but we all know that can change. People of all ages were laying out, taking walks, building castles, etc.. Everyone is so polite, and seemed to be respectful of the beaches. Very easy access!!

The north end of the island is quiet and slower paced than the south end. There are a few restaurants and shops to visit. The beach is nice and quiet also... and not crowded... but you are not facing the ocean... just the Savannah river.
