One of the best beaches on East coast. But pay attention to the tides. Low tide you can walk over to Lil Tybee island, a little island in Atlantic ocean. High tide, little Tybee disappears and so does some of the beach on Tybee island.

Stayed here for week....very clean and wide. Great for walking. Not crowded in Feb. Lots of small shells and a few jellyfish.

Tybee Island Beach is beautiful and unspoiled. It's great for long walks, very relaxing, especially during off-season when there is almost nobody on the beach. The only disappointing thing about it is that dogs are not allowed.

This is definitely our favorite beach state side! It's so laid back. Everyone is friendly and is not commercialized like most beaches. If you're looking for a laid back chill vacation you can't go wrong with Tybee beach! It doesn't hurt that Savannah-'my favorite city is only just a few minutes drive. The only drawback is that pets aren't allowed.... More

We enjoyed the beach on a Saturday afternoon and it seemed like we had the beach to ourselves even though there was other people. They were doing there own thing and not being loud and enjoying it themselves. They have a lot of swings for you to sit down on and enjoy the scenery or to put your shoes back... More

After a nice drive over from Savannah, we were pleasantly surprised by the low key, sleepy beach town feel of Tybee Island. We visited the pier and found that to be a but more crowded and touristy. After wandering around the small island we found some cute small independent shops and a rustic coastal roadhouse, Huca Poos. Cute island and... More

The beach was nice and large. Some beaches like in Jacksonville, Fl are very small and when the tide comes in you don't have any or much room to sit. But that's not the case at Tybee Island there is plenty of beach and lots of seashells. My husband and I collect seashells every beach we go to and there... More

We have decided that we are going to rent a house on the beach for the month of January 2017. We loved the beach - great for walking - not too crowded. The surrounding area was just what we wanted. Just enough shops and restaurants to keep us entertained. Can't wait for next year.

It was very cold and windy the two days we were here we still loved walking on the beach and listening to the surf!
