For a very affordable rate, Captain John took me, my husband, and our two little boys out on the creek for a great personal dolphin tour. Unfortunately my two year old wasn't having it and cried almost the entire trip, but Captain John could not have been more accommodating, doing anything he could to make my little one more comfortable. Despite the screaming child, we saw a bunch of dolphins including a large pod that came very close to the boat and one that came right up next to us! Amazing experience.

Not your typical dolphin tour, this is much better!! I took a typical dolphin tour in Tybee last year and this is so much nicer. You are not all crammed along the sides of a boat hoping to be on the side with dolphins. You do not have another dolphin tour right next to you all looking for the same dolphins. It's just Captain John and your group. One family at a time. :)
Captain John met us at the boat ramp and the two of us settled. We then set off winding through Lazaretto Creek looking for dolphin.
We followed the creek all the way to the giant sandbar off Tybee Island's south beach, by Little Tybee Island. We saw a few dolphin but were blown away by the chance to get out and walk around on the giant sandbar. We found a few shells and a sand dollar (don't worry, it was already dried up) and walked around for a while. Amazing!!! I can't get over how cool it was to visit. No one had been on the sandbar before us that morning. Once high tide arrives, the "island" is gone.
We spotted a few more dolphins and then just relaxed and enjoyed the ride and view. On our way back to the ramp we spotted a flock of roseate spoonbills! Roseate spoonbills are pink birds and not seen in the area often.
At one point, Captain John stopped the motor for us watch a moma dolphin and her baby swim around, and to watch dolphins feeding! So neat to be able to just hear the dolphins breathing.

Captain John is very knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend Crabdaddy's River Adventures!

I booked a dolphin tour for me, my husband and our toddler daughter during a visit to Savannah. I didn't do too much research and just picked Crabdaddy's, and boy was I glad that I did! John was amazing. He took the three of us out alone, and each party that books gets their own tour. I thought we would be on a bigger boat with other people (which I believe is the case with the other area dolphin tours), but we had the trip all to ourselves. John is super knowledgeable about the area and taught us so much about the ecosystem and the wildlife we saw. We saw so many dolphins! Our daughter had such a great time, and the area was just absolutely gorgeous. The price they charge is more than fair, its a total steal for what you get. We highly highly recommend this company, and if we are ever back in the area will contact John for another tour.

What a fun boat ride through the Back and Tybee Rivers with an almost 2 hour stay on Little Tybee Island to swim, have lunch, beachcomb, whatever!

Many bird species and dolphins sighted and photographed. Captain John knows exactly when the sun will set on the way back to get great sunset pics. A great guy and a great vacation adventure - most highly recommended.

Our family of 5 scheduled a dolphin watching tour with Crabdaddy's River Adventures and we were beyond impressed with the private tour and personal attention we received for less than $100. Our guide was amazing and refused to return to the the dock until we had seen and captured several photos of the dolphins. Our tour lasted around 1.5 hours and we got a ton of videos/photos of the dolphins up close. We are SO glad we opted to go with this smaller outfit over the other "big name" dolphin tour companies. Go at sunset! You won't be disappointed!

Captain John was very personable while cruising us throughout the back River and creeks to enjoy dolphins playfully feeding and watching a beautiful sunset and the end of our evening excursion!
They can take you on different cruises along with inshore and offshore fishing!

We had an amazing time with John. Our group of ladies thoroughly enjoyed the ride and the fact we had dolphins swim with us for half of our trip was gravy. Can't recommend enough!

If struggling to find a dolphin tour - PICK THIS ONE! Captain John was GREAT! He only books one group at a time. So your only on the boat with your group. We also had a baby along for the ride, which wasn't an issue at all!

Captain John was very knowledgeable about the area! Knew exactly where to go to see dolphins. He also took us through some "back roads" on the water which was super cool!

His tour seemed like a hidden jewel. Don't expect flashy, expect a super great guy who knows the water by experience!

Totally recommend!

Capt. John job was so great! He was personable, professional and knowledgeable about the area. He took us over to Sand Dollar Island, amazingly beautiful, and gave us plenty of time to walk around. We also toured through different areas along the marsh and we spotted several dolphins and learned about the different varieties of fish. If you have any questions about the type of trip you want to have or for an up to date schedule of trips give his office a call.

We had a fun fishing trip on the boat of captain John. Our trip was 2-6 pm on a weekday at the beginning of August. The captain met us at the boat ramp and provided all fishing equipment and bait. He also had drinking water and life jackets for everyone. Captain John was great with our 8yr old, helping her with casting her fishing line. We caught a flounder, a blue fish, a sting ray, and several crabs. We saw several dolphins and different kinds of seabirds, the captain slowed down the boat so we could see them well and explained what they were. It was a great fishing trip! Thank you, captain John!
