What a hidden treasure! I have driven I-75 for years and never stopped to visit this great historic site until now. The museum had a lot to offer Civil War and history buffs and I loved the self-guided cell phone narratives. I learned a lot....More

Civil War History is right down my alley. This is an amazing tunnel. The museum is also very interesting. Please take time to visit and explore before the liberals deem it offensive.

The museum is small, but has some interesting pieces and a cell phone tour. We were able to tour the general store, Clisby Austin house, and the tunnel through a great deal we purchased on Groupon. The tunnel tour (via golf cart) was the most...More

The tunnel and the story are interesting. The house and the general store I have seen before. The main problem is that they need more help. Two people to run the museum and give tours. We waited a half hour for someone to come back...More

If you love history, this is a must see. The museum contains many interesting artifacts and explanation of an important historical event: the great locomotive chase and Sherman's March to the Sea. Tour guide did excellent job explaining the history.

Judy was an excellent tour guide! Getting to go thru the tunnel and hear all the amazing stories was very cool. Even saw a tiny snake on our tour! Definitely recommend doing the combo deal for $10 and you get to see everything!

Dont expect any developed park, its more like a deserted neglected train tunnel. Some repair and cultivation of the site has been performed, but if your expecting anything more than just a man made hole in the hill and some signs your going to be...More

I used a Groupon to take this tour and got a great deal for 6 of us. Ron was our tour guide and on top of giving us tons of interesting stories and information, he was pretty hilarious. We went on a weekday when it...More

What a fascinating spot to visit! The site includes both the 1,400+ foot long, Civil War-era railroad tunnel, which you can walk through, and a Civil War battlefield. You start your visit at the small visitor center and museum. They offer a guided tour, which...More

Note: You don't HAVE to pay for a tour of the tunnel. If you stop at the visitor center, and tell them you want to visit the tunnel by yourself, they will give you a print out of the "script" the tour guides do. (I think... More
