My favorite part of the experience was trying food from different restaurants. My favorite was the first stop, Jonah's Fish and Grits, it was delicious 😋. The walking tour was amazing to learn that so many famous people have vacationed in this small Georgia town. Diane did a fantastic job giving short explanations of the restaurants, keeping our tour moving at a nice pace to enjoy the food, and walk through the town at a leisurely pace to tell us some of the history behind the historical buildings we walked by on the way to each restaurant. Excellent tour!! I highly recommend staying after the tour to enjoy some leisurely shopping and experience one of the restaurants for dinner.

Absolutely loved our food walking tour. Selina was an awesome host who made everyone feel very welcome and engaged. Not only did we taste some amazing food - we also learned about the history of the town and some of its beautiful architecture. Highly recommend taking this tour whether it is your 1st time visiting Thomasville or you are a seasoned visitor. I promise you will learn something new and fun!

My friends and I have always enjoyed taking girls shopping trips to Thomasville, GA as we are less than 2 hours away, and when I saw the FB post for the Taste of Thomasville Food Tour I could not wait to invite a few friends and find a date that worked for us and get it booked!
We met our tour guide, Debbie, and could tell from the very start that this was going to be fun! Great food, which was much more than just a “taste” at established restaurants with a mild walk in between with Debbie regaling us with so much interesting historical and current facts about this city that is very evident she deeply loves. One of my friends, who will be retiring soon, is now excited and in the “thinking” process about coming up with something along this line for our town! We returned to several of the places we visited on the tour and took advantage of the 10% discount! We love to eat, shop and save money!

Highly recommend this wonderful way to treat yourself and friends! May have to bring hubby so I can do it again!!

You ladies were so much fun. I am glad you made the drive over to enjoy our downtown. And I can't wait to hear is there might be a new food tour west of Thomasville.

What a great day that kept getting better and better. We discovered a variety of restaurants and enjoyed a nice sample of their top recipes. Our delightful walk included discovering history, architecture, and little known wonderful tidbits about Presidents and a President's wife. We ended the tour in the most wonderful book store and finished our cup of coffee with a sample from Marie's Kakes. Absolutely no negatives. Left energized with a pledge to return to Thomasville. No doubt that one return will include another one of the food tours. Mike was our engaging and knowledgeable leader yet I have heard from others who thought their guide was the best. This leads me to believe that all the guides are extremely well qualified and everyone will end the tour very, very pleased and thinking their guide was the best.

This was a wonderful tour! We we fortunate to have Aleigh as our tour guide, who was AMAZING!! She was knowledgeable about the history of Thomasville, very entertaining and obviously loves what she does. The food was wonderful at each stop and complimented by the perfect drink. We couldn't even pick a favorite when we tried. There were some very nice people that we enjoyed meeting and seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. However, there was a family in our group that seemed to have not been aware that the "walking tour" involved walking. Aleigh was very professional at diffusing any issues and did not let that dampen our good time. We give Aleigh and the tour a five star and look forward to our next time we can take guests.

This. Tour. Was. Awesome. I did the morning tour with girlfriends and it was an awesome tour. Our guide took us on a historical and eating tour for two hours. It was just enough walking to walk off everything we ate. We talked about the city's history, then ate, then walked, and repeated this four times! There is always a line to get into Jonah's but we had a table reserved and walked right in! The shrimp and grits did not disappoint and the hushpuppy was great too. We then walked downtown and enjoyed some cheeses from Sweet Grass Dairy. The downtown street is loaded with unique boutiques and it was all I could do not to shop along the way. We next visited George and Louis' with the owner coming out to greet us! Best prices I've seen in awhile on seafood and it did not disappoint in tast. Next stop was A.J. Moonspin and the pizza and breadsticks were down-right delicious! Our last stop was the Bookshelf Bookstore for coffee and dessert. It was packed with people who were enjoying the incredible selection they offered and they even have an online book club that's very reasonable! I plan to do this tour again at night (which comes with or without cocktails) and probably this one again with friends. A great way to spend the day and it won't disappoint. Of course, I rushed back to all the boutiques after the tour to do some serious shopping! Very reasonably priced!

Thank you for this wonderful review. We love when our guest are surprised that we can get into Jonah's without waiting. But all of our stops are special. We can't wait for you to come back to do the AfterHours Tour.

March 13, 2021 was our very first food tour. We were in town from Brandon, Florida for the weekend celebrating my parents 53rd anniversary and our AirBnB host recommended the Taste of Thomasville Food Tour. We were absolutely not disappointed. Our guide, Debbie Godbehere (great last name), was so insightful, so mindful of the participants in what felt to us like a Florida day as it was sweltering hot however she kept us moving and WOW I just can't say enough how good the food was. First stop was Jonah and we were blown away with their shrimp & grits. I can tell you I am definitely NOT a person who enjoys grits but this restaurant simply won me over. Next we had Sweetgrass Dairy Cheese Shop (a brie that was to die for); George & Louis Seafood (yum yum); Moonspin Pizza (service & pizza were both Excellent); Grassroots Coffee (just the aroma of fresh brewed coffee beckoned me to stay awhile) and the delicious cookie from Marie's Kakes. With all the samples we ate, my parents and sisters were just so satisfied. Debbie and Debra were so incredible in sharing this wonderful community to us. Please go to Thomasville if you cherish the history of GA and adore the small town atmosphere. We can't wait to come back again.

We did the lunch tour. Debra, our tour guide, is such a knowledgeable, fun and warm person! We had 2 couples and a family of 4 in our group. We all, young and old, had a really fun time. Debra provided us with lots of interesting history about the buildings and homes we passed…as well as stories about the people of past generations in Thomasville. Along the way we had 6 food stops where we were given a generous sampling of food! To name a few.. shrimp & grits, cheese tray, salad, gourmet pizza, bakery goods and coffee. I highly recommend making time for this tour, it was a really fun (and delicious) way to learn more about Thomasville!

Living in Tallahassee, we often drive up to Thomasville for a quick dinner and stroll through Downtown, stopping at the same restaurant each time. After taking the evening Taste of Thomasville food tour, we realized we have been missing out on all of the fabulous restaurants Thomasville has to offer! All five places we stopped at were incredibly delicious, and we will be adding them into our Date Night rotation.

The actual tour itself was fantastic, in large part due to our Tour Guide Aleigh. Aleigh walked us through the history and stories of Thomasville, and she was able to answer every question we had — and there were many!

We will definitely be going on the Taste of Thomasville Food Tour again. We love the Evening Tour, and we now would love to try the Day time tour, which stops at different restaurants. The Food tour is also such a good deal that we may return for the Dinner one again soon!

It's funny how people get into a routine of doing the same thing when they come to Thomasville. We are so glad that we got to introduce you to some new stops. And we can't wait for you to try the Day Tour for a completely different variety of restaurants. AND...Aleigh is great! She makes our AfterHours Tour so much fun! Thank you so much for the great review.

What a great way to spend a Saturday. Thomasville is a charming small town with great shops and wonderful food. The food tour has been on my bucket list and It did not disappoint. The food is delicious and the staff at the restaurant stops were so friendly and gracious. It is a comfortable walk around the town and Debra gives interesting and informative details of the history of the town during the tour. Treat yourself and visit this beautiful town and take the Taste of Thomasville food tour.
