Great location. We live about 1 mile from this park. The maintenance crew have done a fantastic job. We have taken many family photo sessions as well as have seen many take them as well.

There are two trails - 0.7 mi and 1.2 mi which is great. Sometimes we just want to do multiple laps around the 0.7 mi which goes around the lake or if you want to run then their's the 1.2 mi option.

As mentioned earlier, great place for a walk and/or run.

My husband and I turned in to Sims Park on a whim a couple of days ago, just to give it a quick look. We couldn’t believe the beautiful walking trails, the lake and a lovely playground for children.
What appealed to us was the way the woods have been left very natural and the quiet. There were quite a few walkers but it never felt crowded, only peaceful and relaxing. It is truly a haven. We loved it!
We have driven by this park quite a few times and had no idea of the beauty and serenity there right next to the road. You should go!

Best Neighborhood park ever! Wonderful walking trails. Interactive children's playground. Very convenient location and plenty of parking. Once there, you feel a great sense of clam and relaxation. Love this place!

The walking trail has art along the way, goes close to the lake and is generally in the shade which is nice on a hot day.

Lake with ducks and fish that the little ones can see swimming around. Even a concrete ping pong table ( bring your paddles and ping pong ball). Blacktop trails are very shaded - lots of benches to just sit and watch nature.

I live within a mile of the park and frequent the park 5-6 days per week. Great walking trails with mile markers so it is easy to track how far you go-even without a fitness tracker. Great for picnics too!

Sims Lake Park is one of the reasons Suwanee is a great place to live! The community has done a great job of creating unique park/open spaces throughout the community and Sims Lake is the most recent example. The park is a perfect venue for a family picnic or simply a walk around the lake to enjoy the outdoors. Kudos to Suwanee for their continued commitment to making this a great place to live.

We go to Sims Park for our walking exercise, as well as, others. Sims is a nice size park, meaning it has plenty of parking space, has a playground for kids, clean bathrooms and is safe, without being too big. I don't worry if my wife or daughter go walk there by themselves, because the entire paved walking track is a big loop around the park and anyone walking can see and be seen by others. Another park we go to more regularly, just because it's a little closer to our house, is a much larger park with many spots where you may be the only person within sight. I do not like my wife or daughter going there without another person. Unless you are looking for a park with all the ball fields, tennis courts, mini vans everywhere, Sims is a good choice. There is a beautiful lake in the park too.

This is a great little park to take your family or to exercise. The parking lot is small but it is located next to the playground, bathrooms and walking/running trails. There are big grass areas scattered nearby and a huge lake in the middle. The walking/running trails are marked with distance and depending on how far you wish to walk/run you can take different paths. All of the paths circle and have a view of the lake. It doesn't matter what time of day you go there are many people of all ages walking with their dogs, jogging, or riding their bikes. Many areas of the trail are covered by trees offering shade in the Summer. The playground has equipment for both small and older children. It is not huge, but big enough to wear out the little ones. The lake has ducks that will come up to you if you stand near the edge and they think you have food. There is no fishing or swimming in the lake. The bathrooms are clean and there are water fountains, even one about 6 inches off of the ground for dogs. In October they have a theater group that puts on "Terror in the Park". It is a mild outdoor haunted house that walks you around the trail and tells you scary stories while the narrator is dressed in a costume. My kids of 14 & 16 thought it was boring, but the little ones ages 6 - 10 loved it!
Overall, this is a great little park with a lot to offer.
