We visited this park for the first time on Saturday with our Boy Scout Troop. The boys were doing a hike for a badge and this was certainly a great place for the 9am hike. The park is very well maintained, be sure to bring cash to insert for the parking box. The walking paths were kept up and the... More

A well kept park with excellent walking/bike paths as well as trails. Limited access to the granite outcroppings but that can be understood. My wife and I enjoy going for hikes, but it would also be well suited for picnics.

We came here with the Boy Scouts because it has an orienteering course and it's a real nice one. Once there we saw it is very well maintained. The paved bike/walking paths were kept up as were the pavilions. It's about an hour drive from my home so I don't know if it's worth the drive but if I lived... More

My Fiancee and I camped in the primitive section, near Scout Lake. The place is really beautiful, and the staff could not have been better. But, after trying to sleep ALL night long, and listening to a variety of motorcycle races, car races, jets, helicopters, and car alarms, and fire truck horns ALL DAMN NIGHT...Not going back... Like I said...BRING... More

Thank you for you candid review. We understand how frustrating the noise of the city can be, especially when you're trying to escape it. Usually it doesn't affect us too much, but unfortunately, sometimes that noise makes its way to our little slice of paradise. We'd love to have you back for a day trip the next time you're near... Nice State Park with walking trails suited for "city folk"- paved, wide, and still allows you to experience nature. Park offers a variety of activities and programs.

You can be the outdoor type here, but still within 5 minutes of shopping. Great for picnics, adventure hiking, great for family time. The history in the area is great as well. This one is not on the usual tourist path, so no crowds like many national parks. Research more online at their site of facilities around and services. This... More

If you like to go hiking this is the place for you. Also if you have kids it has a nice playground and ranger station with info about the park.
