Beautiful river beach with gorgeous panoramic views of our amazing pine forests, sandy beach area and floating swimming pool. Great for spending time with the family, as a couple or group or even just for some quality you time... there are some lovely walks to be made if you have dogs and afterwards they can cool down in the beautiful calm clear water of the river Zezere. This spot is also great for camping and there is a cafe which provides some good quick food such as burgers, hot dogs, pizza and the famous tosta mista (ham & cheese toastie on home backed bread and topped with butter, oregano and garlic)... you can hire canoes and if you camp between 15/6 - 15/9 there are showers and toilets available to use. This is somewhere you can visit all year round for walks or just to chill, weather permitting which is does. The beach season is between 15th June to 15th September and beach bar is also open during this time. There is plenty of parking and also wake boarding if you fancy something different. Fundada is the closest village which has shops, coffee shops, ATM and is about a 5 min drive, alternatively there is the town of Vila De Rei about 10km and here you have access to restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, petrol station, pharmacy, taxi, hotel, ATMs, post office, public swimming pool, gym and much more...
