Wear decent shoes or boots as there are a few self guided walks to do. The biscuits and cakes looked good in the cafe

If you want to expand your visit in the Gothenburg area take a hike to the backyard of the little town of Kungsbacka and experience a wonderful and typical old Swedish landscape at "Äskhults By", 4 well preserved farms from the 18th century, the oldest date from the early 17th century. Take a guided tour or stroll by yourself and discover the spirits of long gone memories. The place is guarded by an very old oak and the surroundings have a number of very nice view points. It has been an turist attraction since the late 60s.

This tiny village held onto traditional farming and life practices into the 1960's. A well-preserved place shows how hard and innovative life must have been. The kids loved exoloring the grounds and it is truly beaitiful! I would highly reccomend getting an English guided tour.

Have been to this place quite a few times now as we take all our visitor there. It is always interesting to walk around. Although I do understand they have to charge and entrance fee it seems a shame to ask it if you just want to use the coffee shop. It is nice to see the way they used to live in the old days.
