I just love stopping by to get a gift of Truffles for my daughter at DiAmano. It always puts a smile in her face. They are delicious!

diAmano is across the street from Figo pasta, so me and my date stopped by on a whim. I purchased 8 square truffles which ran for $10.00. They had a variety of chocolates at various price points, but I just wanted the finest though. The store offers a few samples to taste. The appealing presentation and delectable flavors make this a must try. I personally liked the passion fruit habanero (surprisingly not spicy and more fruity) and the mojito mint (the green and white one in the picture). I think my date was happy with the bag of chocolates she was bringing back home.
I'm definitely returning here to buy some for my mom and sister as Xmas gifts. Maybe a future girlfriend too? I highly recommend this shop for the occasions.

I love diAmano Chocolates. I have surprised my daughter by shipping her a dozen of her favorite truffles to NYC. Great customer service too.

We found the selection to be small and limited. The chocolate designs are pretty to look at but average tasting. They also have a display of special designs they've made before out of chocolate - such as a woman's high heeled shoe & basketball, etc.

This gem of a chocolate shop is such a delight. The selection is vast and the quality and beauty of the product is excellent. Staff is helpful to make suggestions and they allow you to sample before you purchase. I love to stop in to purchase a special gift for a chocolate lover.

Without a single tattoo, I often wonder what I could commit to for the rest of my days on earth?
Chocolate.
That's it. I'm positive, no matter the trends, no matter the origin or cultural twists...I will always love chocolate.
In 1999 I learned of a Chocolatier that had both a creative culinary vision as well as a talent for marketing that was unparalleled. Katrina Markoff's Chicago based chocolate shop, Vosges, was the first to introduce me to the "East meets West" chocolate fusion. Sweet and spicy Naga truffles with curry and coconut milk, ginger and wasabi enrobed in dark chocolate. Vosges was my favorite over the next decade and I was committed to making sure I took every opportunity to enjoy them. Once, on a trip to South Beach, I fought Downtown Miami traffic to find the Mandarin Hotel simply because I knew they sold Vosges chocolates in their restaurant. When I bit into my favorite naga truffle...there was mold inside. And this is the crossroad that all chocolatiers seem to come to....
How do you make handmade chocolates with fresh fillings, that last more than a couple of weeks? You don't.
It seems that once you consider mass producing, you begin small compromises to the quality of ingredients in an effort to preserve. Vosges chocolates have become less and less appealing to me...although she was the originator, the tactile romance is lost in mass production.
Enter Di Amano Chocolates in metro Atlanta! Di Amano meaning "by hand with love".
The brilliant Faye Jonah recently purchased this well established chocolate shop and is pushing the boundaries of handmade truffles, cordials and barks. Perfecting recipes, she finds the delicate balance of pain and pleasure in the euphoric Aztec Cup with cayenne pepper and cinnamon.
As Faye creates each new flavor combination, she invites her customers to join her in the exciting experience by trying test batches of her creations like Tequilla and pineapple or vodka and lychee cordials.
I was so surprised to bite into a cordial and feel the fleshy sweet pineapple...a real fresh pineapple delicately infused with a smooth and complex Reposado tequilla.
If you enjoy experiences that introduce your senses to unique blends of taste and texture, DiAmano chocolates will delight you.

This shop has all handmade chocolates - and they are amazingly good! Fresh each day and the variety and creativity are beyond compare. The hand painted chocolates are my favorite to give as they are so precious and beautiful (and, of course, delicious). But there are always a couple of things I grab for myself, as well.
Additionally, this shop has some highly unusual, artistic cards and just a few other small things which make it worth the trip if you don't care for the samples.
