That’s the way I can describe this. Our driver was Richard, and our host was Kevin. Both were engaging, knowledgeable and entertaining. They made everyone feel at home, introduced themselves, and engaged in conversation. They were both very knowledgeable about the island and the sites, and took the time to answer questions and to point out good restaurants and good shopping. We took advantage of their recommendations and were highly pleased. We went to the Golden Isles olive oil company as well as to the mixed nuts boutique and consignment shop. For dinner we tried crab daddies, it was hard to get parking that’s how popular the place is and how good the food is. This is definitely a tour worth every penny and should be taken on the first day of your vacation so that way you don’t miss any of the great sites.

Our captain was William, who took us pretty close to the huge capsized cargo ship in the Sound and told us details we hadn't known about the rescue operation; he was on the team. Our guide was Reid, who told dramatic stories of the rescue of Georgia's marshland. A great trip for nature and history and humor.

Spent $60 for my daughter and I to take a 90 minute dolphin watching cruise. We saw maybe three dolphins so far away that you had to look really hard. I realize sightings are unpredictable, but there really wasn’t much else to see on this trip. We went out into the bay, the captain pointed out a golf course and Jekyll island. He was very nice, but most of his narrative was about himself and his own personal experiences in the area .we saw no other wildlife to speak of. I was hoping we would venture closer to some of the marshland and see more birds, or anything else of interest. At the end of the cruise the captain reminded us that it was “customary” to leave a tip. This really rubbed me the wrong way. I don’t want to be told that I’m expected to tip, especially when the person is asking for themself. There was only one other man on board who didn’t appear to do much. Overall my daughter and I felt like it was just an ok trip. Certainly not worth $60. I wouldn’t go again. Speaking with others after the trip they felt the same way. I think there were other boat tours companies in the area, I just chose this one because it was the first thing I saw.

The tour started off badly and only got worse. It was not a trolley but a stuffed bus. They oversold the tour and so our family had to have their 12 year old sit on their lap for the entire trip. The stories were muddled and hard to follow. The speaker system kept cracklings which made it even harder to hear. People were drinking extensively throughout and screaming out obscenities. What the tour guide lacked in ability he tried to make up for with props. At Horton House he blasted a deafening air horn. My ear several days later still hurts. He later jumped and slammed a fence door shut to make loud noises. We’ve done a lot of these tours before and this was by far the worst. The best part of the tour was when it returned to the hotel.

Absolutely horrible and unprofessional. Had this company booked for months, staying in contact over that time and confirming reservations; then receive a call THE MORNING OF with excuses of being sick/then sorry we double booked/and finally quitting communication. No sincerity and no help in finding a last minute option for our now ruined plans. Do not book with this company.

The ghost tour is not worth the time or money. First of all, it was not in a trolley but was in a bus. To their credit, we were offered the chance to cancel our reservation and get our money back. I wish we had. The bus has windows that don’t open, and the AC fogs up the windows so you can’t see out. The only solution was to turn off the AC. The guide was a nice guy but his stories were muddled, at best. Other ghost tours that I have been on include a great deal of history with fun ghost stories thrown in. This was mostly silly nonsense.

We are sorry to hear about your disappointment with the ghost tour. When anyone books, there are three places to check before confirming your tour. As always, we reserve the right to use the bus versus the trolley for the safety of guests or if a vehicle is out of service. Our guides tie history into the ghost stories. Please reach out to us via cap@capfendig.com or call (912) 638-3333 to discuss this further.

Went on the midday dolphin boat ride, booked tickets online that morning. Were considering walking/cycling from where we were staying near the lighthouse, but although it was only 3 miles, we weren't sure how easy that would be with the roads and the bridge, so we went by car. Actually there was a path/cycle lane pretty much all the way, so I think we would have been ok. Car park was fairly full, but we found a space, and there was overflow parking nearby. Instructions on where to wait were clear and easy to follow, and about 20 mins before midday, somebody came round with a list to tick off passengers. A few mins before midday we all boarded, and the tour lasted about 90 mins. It was cool on the water, and we were glad for long trousers and long sleeves. We were incredibly lucky and saw dolphins almost immediately, quite a few of them and quite close, it was a fantastic experience. It was also great to watch the birds hovering and then diving down when they saw a fish. The boat went round to St Simon's lighthouse and back, with interesting views of the golf course and houses on the island. The commentry was interesting and informative, as well as entertaining. The staff were very good. Would certainly recommend it.

Our group signed a contract for a private 4 hour island tour and ended up with a 3 hour waterway tour. At the beginning of our trip the Captain said we would have another chance to get of the boat after a quick bathroom break at Jekyll Island, but we never needed up making another stop. Several girls needed to use the restroom before returning to the dock, but he would not let them get off the boat into the water and had them pee into a bucket instead… We enjoyed the lovely views and the quick history we received at the beginning of the tour but as the trip went on the Captains attitude changed towards our group. We were confused as to why this happened as we were trying to enjoy ourselves on the boat charter we booked as we wanted to see the islands on our own terms, not dictated by a tour guide. I have made multiple attempts (phone call, voicemail, and email) with no success on getting the overcharge for the trip back. Would not recommend this company to future guests.

So mixed feelings about this company. We visited St Simons and Jekyll Isabel the week of Labor Day 2022. The dolphin tour was outstanding. Rate it a five start. The issue was with the Trolley/Bus tour on St. Simons and Jekyll. Their equipment need major upkeep. The St Simons tour was good but they didn’t use a trolley because they said the equipment was in the shop. A few days later we did the Jekyll island tour and this is where everything fell apart. You can control the rain, but the trolly had water damage all in the vehicle. They let the flaps down prior to leaving but the roof of the bus had water falling on every seat including the driver. They had stated this was something they were working on but the damaged wood inside showed this had been going on for sometime. Then while driving the windshield wiper broke. I mean I feel sorry for the driver he did the best he could but a company should take passengers out when a vehicle is this badly in need of repair. Stay away if raining.

My husband and I really enjoyed our dolphin tour with Capt Reed and Sam as our guides. We left on time ( Noon) and was back promptly at 1:30. Capt Reed had many stories of his time living and growing up on St Simons, and was really knowledgeable about the different sea life as well as boating activities in this area. We spotted several dolphin and the "Flipper" song was played at that point....a fun touch!! The boat is clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this activity...it is family friendly and great for all ages
