Since 1993, the St. Simons Trolley Company has conducted the original and definitive tour of St. Simons Island. Exuding Southern charm, Bunny, a genuine Southern Belle and direct descendant of Pocohontas, provides a hilariously funny, yet well informed narrative of life in the Old South. Kevin the King adds his own twist to the stories of southern heritage and is actually funnier than Bunny. With either one, you're guaranteed a professional and highly interesting tour. Tour beautiful St. Simons Island on the oldest and most acclaimed tour on the island. This is the original historical trolley tour, operating for 23 years in nostalgic, vintage 1930's wooden trolleys. The drive-by tour includes 36 points of interest including the highlight of the tour, a WALKING TOUR OF CHRIST CHURCH CHURCHYARD at historic Christ Church (except Mondays). Other sites include the Lighthouse, one of only three working lighthouses in Georgia; Bloody Marsh, site of the famous 1742 battle where the fate of the Southern Colonies was decided; Fort Frederica, the colonial town and fort settled by General James Edward Oglethorpe; and Retreat Plantation, where relics from the slavery era still exist. We speak SOUTHERN! The St. Simons Trolley tour is one of the most acclaimed in the South. To enjoy the island in true southern fashion, join us on the St. Simons Trolley. You will truly enjoy the entertaining and informative narrative of 400 years of island history and folklore as you ride along in the newly refurbished, original, vintage Green Trolley. We also point out the best places to eat, shop, and play. It's the perfect way to see and experience island life, while getting a good overview of the entire island.

Our lady guide was excellent giving us a really interesting history of the island littered with anecdotes thrown in. The tour provided us with views, architecture and scenes that otherwise we would have missed. This wasn't a low cost excursion at $20 each.

We enjoyed our tour with--oh goodness, I forgot the man's name. He was very knowledgeable and it was certainly worth the $20. Unfortunately as the last one on I was in the very back and the fumes were something! Whew! My fault though for waiting...More

It was not a good experience every place that we went were close. No even pictures. I felt that we were in a rush and expend to much time for my personal opinion on a cemetery

We took the 11 am tour. Even though the trolley was not air conditioned, it was a very pleasant ride. Enjoyed seeing the sights and hearing the history from Kevin the king.

Hot humid July day, not a good choice. The other trolley option offered AC. I was surprised to learn that the earlier trolley left early without 2 guests that purchased tickets online at the earlier time. The complaint fell on deaf ears without apology, apparently...More
