This private non-profit nature center with a Discovery Center that includes a Nature Exchange and Exhibits, plus a Theatre is focused on interpreting the Chattahoochee River Watershed. With 127 acres of woodland and wetland trails the Nature Center has several well marked walking trails and a river boardwalk with rehabilitated animals along the route. Beautiful butterfly gardens and Georgia's eco-regions are emphasized. The Unity Garden is a great place to learn about sustainable community gardening. Bring a picnic, visit the Nature Store, watch the movie (Re-Imagine the Chattahoochee) and enjoy learning about the Chattahoochee River and environs and the native plants and animals that call this place home.

Regular programming takes place, check the website for times and dates of special events that are family friendly. The Nature Exchange in the Discovery Center is a trader's delight! Learn more on our daily calendar, to plan your visit.

CNC is a rare opportunity to visit face-to-face with much of what the southern outdoors has to offer. Nature trails, youth workshops, animal habitats all just minutes from one of Georgia's best small towns (Roswell). The real gem though is the Unity Garden where volunteers grow literally tons of food on 1/4 acre that is then donated to the local... More

Wanting to pass on our love of all things outdoors, we readily joined the Chattahoochee Nature Center after our first outing there with our young grandsons. The visitor's center has many interactive experiences for young and old alike. We feel like the birds in the aviary for injured birds are friends and proudly show them off to friends we bring... This is a great, not to long, outing for all ages. The staff is well trained. The animals that they care for are great. The area is interesting in all seasons. River access walks are available. Drop in or group appointments are available. Good parking area.

Interesting nature center to explore, lots of hands-on stuff for families. Walking trails outside where you can see owls, hawks, eagles in the aviaries. We had a relaxing walk around the pond and also through the wetlands on a boardwalk. Places to sit and enjoy nature so close to the city! Art throughout the area, many constructed using found items... More

Took my 3 year old grandson and both he and I enjoyed it. Nice little trials, loved the small and interactive museum. We saw several rescued animals. From beavers to a grest american Eagle. We spent. A good 3 hours and he was entertained.

I came here to visit the reindeer and was very disappointed. The flyer for the event was from 12-4 to visit the reindeer, yet the reindeer left at 2:45?! My little brother was very upset and shame on the reserve for false advertising.

First of all, this is a wildlife rehabilitation center, so when you visit, you are helping to rehabilitate injured Georgia Wildlife. They have lots of cool native wildlife for you to see. Great Horned Owls, Bald Eagles, Opossums, snakes, turtles and Red Tailed Hawks to name a few. Also, 2 new young beavers have just been put on exhibit. It... More

Very friendly staff, easy trails to walk through the woods with the entire family! They have activities throughout the year and it is great for birthday parties too.
