I took my 3 grandchildren to the center. The story time was okay. The person reading the story geared her comments and tone to very young children. The 9 year-old was too old for the story time but did enjoy the self-directed craft at the end. The workers there are friendly. The person at the cash register was not particularly... More

The Chattahoochee Nature Center is a top attraction for local kids, and some adults. Very interesting for those that enjoy nature. They are working to build a much longer boardwalk for viewing. My son has several times carried wounded turtles over to their reptile hospital for treatment.

We attended the yearly butterfly festival this year with our family (14,8, and 3 year old twins). It was very poorly run and they did not have enough activities to handle the very large crowd. They had lots of volunteers walking around but we did not see them really doing anything. They had a few activities, a stamp station that... More

Chattahoochee Nature Center is a great place for the entire family. I agree with all the positive comments I’ve read about this center. My favorite was the wetlands trail. This is a raised walk through the marsh where you will see things not normally seen on a standard woodland hike. While the wildlife exhibits are something the kids will not... More

We really enjoy going t the Nature Center. Recently they had a Farm Days festival and our son loved getting to see all the animals. On a daily basis they have plenty to see and enjoy no matter your age. The center is well laid out and the paths are easy to follow.

I took 4 boys under the age of 9 and my 11 year old daughter. They had a wonderful time and didn't want to leave. We walked thru the hands on museum before going outside to check out the trails. The kids could have spent a day just inside and another day exploring outside.

We enjoyed our visit here. Took the Homestead, River Boardwalk and other paths. Nice walking paths, very well maintained. Also enjoyed the eagle aviary. We were thinking there would be more river views. Probably better suited for kids; they seemed to be loving it!

I have a 2.5 year old and he absolutely loved the nature center. We were there for 2 hours and didn't even explore half of the grounds. I let him lead the way and he was so thrilled that he could touch and explore versus being told no. There are exhibits inside and outside so there is some relief from... More
