Our grandkids love visiting the ECO center. Wish they were open on weekends, since the grandkids can only be here on weekends during the school year.

This is a nature center set up with animal exhibits and live animals and fish. It's free to the public and we'll worth the time to visit. The snakes turtles fish and a cool new raccoon named rocket.

In an old converted pumping station beside the Oostanaula River in downtown Rome, Georgia is the ECO Center. It features fish, reptiles, and animals native to the area. Some are live and others are preserved in taxidermy. In addition to a professional staff, local college...More

I took my grandchildren here during the summer. They really enjoyed it! They especially enjoyed the large fish tanks and the live animal exhibits, snakes and such. The mounted animals were good picture opportunities. I will probably take them back again.

The ECO Center is not only an educational benefit it's a place of environmental impact. The staff members are very knowledgeable and "go out of their way" to make your visit memorable.

There was a "going away" party held here for the Japanese visiting students. I think they were impressed with the facility and the hospitality of the hosts families. The acquarium exhibits are excellent.
