This is difficult to rate because I'm comparing it to a fabulous nature center in Florida where one could find four ecosystems--meadow, forest, marsh and lake--all within a short walk and were always sure to see something new. It also provided extensive museum displays as...More

I took my grandchildren here during the summer. They really enjoyed it! They especially enjoyed the large fish tanks and the live animal exhibits, snakes and such. The mounted animals were good picture opportunities. I will probably take them back again.

There was a "going away" party held here for the Japanese visiting students. I think they were impressed with the facility and the hospitality of the hosts families. The acquarium exhibits are excellent.

Good aquariums with fish found in the Coosa River drainage area. There is even a trout stream that the local Trout unlimited Chapter installed. The hours of operation seem somewhat inconsistent and it may be closed to the public when school groups are there.

The center is free and open to the public during certain times. Field trips and group visits also available. Lots of taxidermy as well as live fish, turtles, lizards, etc. 393 Riverside Parkway, Rome, GA 30161 706-622-6432
