We went for a walk on the Downtown Rome trail system. The trail runs along the river and is quite nice. Don't walk it alone, though, because the homeless down there can be agressive.

I took the opportunity to explore the walking/jogging trail at Ridge Ferry Park. It was a beautiful path with nice views of the water. The area was clean and well-maintained. I even spotted a heron.

I rode approximately 6 miles of the trails on my mountain bike and did a little geocaching along the way. Trails are all paved and wide enough for bikes and pedestrians. The only con to these trails is the lack of signage. There are large...More

These trails are great for a time killing walk or a workout. Many people in Rome use the trail daily for both purposes.
