First off this seemed like such a great area and fun bridges to ride across. After any kind of rain, the trail disappears under water. So that was the first issue we encountered (and understandable but you gotta plan accordingly ask it's far to drive to not get to ride). So many times we had to carry our bikes up on hills to get around the trail then eventually it just disappeared. When we could find a part that was open, once it's leaves the immediate downtown, it goes behind some neighborhoods that just aren't that picturesque. Then, finally, even in the historic downtown parts, it felt like a lot of homeless people live on the trail itself. It didn't seem like that just 6 months ago, so I'm not sure what happened to the area. Because of this, a lot of areas smelled like urine. Sad to see. For the people and the town.

Fun for biking or walking down by the rivers and others places to visit along the way. We enjoyed our visit very much in this historic area.

This is a great trail system with a lot to see. It has nice trails that are paved so it is easy to bike/walk on it.

We went for a walk on the Downtown Rome trail system. The trail runs along the river and is quite nice. Don't walk it alone, though, because the homeless down there can be agressive.
