Went with 3 girlfriends & we went to beach and rented a cabana with two chairs, 2 benches, a ceiling fan, 2 foot stools and 2 power outlets for $45 for the day. It was great especially since it was 95+ degrees and sunny. The staff was friendly and helpful. We walked thru the butterfly center and was too hot... More

The Butterfly Farm was amazing with some many pretty butterflies fluttering about. We all were taking pictures with our smart phones but the quality could not compare to those taken by my husband with his Nikon especial those on the butterfly feeder. There also was a pond with turtles.

Spent lots of time here as a youth, on the beach, and in the lake swimming. Our High School even sponsored a Senior Trip here for a long day of activities and fun. I remember the sunburns (ouch!). It is beautiful and worth a visit.

I recently took my daughter to Callaway Gardens for a day trip and we had a pretty good time. For the record, when we lived in LaGrange, we spent an abundance of time there and know the park inside and out. We moved and decided to go back as we so loved to bike ride and visit all the centers.... More

Great family vacation spot - circus was really good, kids had fun riding bicycles and enjoying the beach, and the golf courses were in great condition. Something for everyone!

"Gardens" is not an accurate statement. It's a resort. Tourist. In fact, I didn't even walk past any sections devoted to flora at all. I was expecting a garden, not resort. It was a bit pricy to get in ($20 per adult) but it includes some shoes with admission. A lot of the best attractions (zip lines, splash pad, bike... More

Thank you for your post and for providing us an opportunity to respond and explain. Callaway Gardens, which was originally depleted cotton fields, was reclaimed by Cason and Virginia Callaway. They restored it to the native landscape that belongs at west, central Georgia, and created what is today one of the largest woodland botanical gardens in the country, if not... More

We race here every year on Father's Day and have enjoyed staying in all of the different types of homes. Our favorite however is the Villa. Make sure to bring comfortable shoes, and your bike. Beautiful grounds, and great for people who like to walk and be outside. It is hot so bring some cold water. The FSU circus is... More

Our annual family reunion was planned for Callaway Gardens. I've been there over the years but the first overnight in a long time. We stayed at the Lodge and it was a most pleasant experience. Hope we go back again next year!
