Fantastic afternoon led by a wonderful host. Todd knows how to deliver a first class experience and takes care of you the minute you step onto his property. His professionalism is unmatched. My entire family had a great time including my parents who are in their mid 70s. Well worth the money for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Your only regret will be if you opt to forego.

We came, we saw, we CRUSHED IT!
Jun 2021 • Family
My family loved our visit to Tank Town USA!! We started our adventure by booting up, rubber boots for everyone! The area can be muddy and you want mud when you are driving a tank so that you can splash through it. After settling into our boots we were assigned the task of spraying graffiti onto the car we were to crush. Next came the sledge hammer! My kids really enjoyed this since we don’t typically vandalize cars. Next it was time for the tank. My husband was up first in the drivers pit. My kids were buckled in and rode along. After he had splashed through the mud pit and done the first crush on the car it was my sons turn. To drive the tank you only need to be 15 and have a learners permit. My son took over and once again went through the mud pit and drove over the car twice more. After the tank driving my husband also fired the machine gun. He said it was all great and pretty exhilarating! My son loved having his own turn at crushing the car and my daughter was thrilled to be a rider. Lots of great history and info given by Todd! He also provides a great list of local places to eat! I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t end up here again some day!

A Man-Sized Experience
May 2021 • Couples
What great and unusual fun. Todd was very flexible with our scheduling and very helpful and informative. One group member did the large excavator and described rhe experience as "Tonka toy comes to life full sized." Two of us shared tank driving duties and had a great time both decorating the car and crushing it! A likely one-time event but a fun one.

WE CRUSHED IT!
Nov 2020 • Couples
Thank you to Todd with Tank Town USA for helping me surprise my husband for our 2nd anniversary. After looking online it said the date I wanted was not available. I contacted Todd and he was able to personally schedule the date and time that worked best for our vacation schedule. He was very responsive and helpful! We arrived for the tank driving and car crush experience and my husband was very surprised and excited! We spray painted the car and banged it up before my husband took the wheel of the tank to crush it! Todd was very knowledgable and explained the history of the tanks. He took tons of cool pictures and videos for us! It was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone who wants to tap into their wild side! Todd also suggested a beautiful scenic route and hike for us to check out on our way to Helen and we are so happy we followed his advice! It was the Richard Russell scenic highway and we stopped along the way for a short hike to the Helton Creek Falls which were beautiful!

What a great time we had. Todd was fantastic, very informative and he took plenty of photos for us. We planned a road trip here to celebrate my son’s 16th birthday. He got to crush a pickup truck after we spray painted it and then took a sledgehammer to it. Be prepared to get dirty! Shooting the machine gun is definitely a must do. Worth every penny paid!

Had an amazing time. Owner, Todd, was great. We selected the tank ride and car crush and it was so cool. I highly recommend this place. Family friendly and clean fun...although you may get a little muddy. Wear boots.

An activity our 16 year old son will never forget!! We all had a fabulous time. A great distraction for our restless boys. Todd, the owner was kind and patient. Before you crush the car with the tank, our boys were able to spray the car with graffiti and then smash it with sludge hammers. They had a blast. Time and money well spent on a very memorable activity! You will not be disappointed.

Being close to the Orlando, Florida, area gives me an opportunity to drive a tank and shoot a machine gun pretty much any time. However, with those activities in Orlando, I know I can expect Orlando pricing. Therefore, since I was going to be in Blue Ridge anyways, I decided to book this for both me and my 8-year-old son.

The location is on the main highway, so there isn't any chance to get lost. The loads of old military vehicles out front also gives notice that this is the kind of place where a little fun can be had. Parking can be a little tricky if it's busy, because the only parking is on the entry way before the gate, but on the day we went, 3 vehicles didn't make it difficult, even when leaving. The signs to the entry are well established, and the path takes you by a lot of military history as portrayed by the vehicles. Dodges, Jeeps, Willys, and even an old GMC are all on display, along with a retired landing craft, deuce-and-a-half, and other memorabilia.

Once inside, the place is exactly what one would expect of a tank habitat. It's a wide-open, red-clay field, scattered with the remnants of cars. Don't wear anything you don't want to get dusty or dirty, even if you're just watching. You also have a very good probability of getting mud on your shoes. We booked the tank drive, which is actually an APC, and Todd, the owner, had it set up and ready to go when we arrived. He made it easy for both of us to board, I received some quick, but detailed instructions, and we were off. The track (pun intended), is a set of figure-8s, with lots of opportunity to climb hills, dig down into mud flats, and get a good feel for what it must have been like. Riders sit up on the deck in a set of specially-built bucket seats that do come equipped with seatbelts. It's so much fun that comes to an end way too quickly. Todd will take photos of the group to document the experience. Once we climbed off, there was a chance to climb into a parked APC to see what it was like inside.

After tending to the tank, we went to the firing range for the machine gun. This is at the back of the property, so a trek across the tank field is required. Again, don't wear anything you don't want to get dusty or dirty. You'll get sweaty, too, if you go in the summer. As he was setting up the gun, Todd gave a quick lesson in its history, battlefield use, and other interesting facts about his business. Another tutorial on handling the gun, and several short bursts later, the cartridge box was empty. The experience, though, was one-of-a-kind, and I am glad I did it.

Todd is an extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and downright friendly guy. He knows his stuff inside and out, and he knows how to take care of his guests. He responds immediately when texted, as those are his instructions on the website, but he does return phone calls if that's how you contact him. I would highly recommend making this a stop during your travels.
