About
We invite you to visit our grapevines, each with its own personality, and experience the simple and serene pleasures that the North Georgia Mountains have waiting for you. Give yourself a moment to pause and celebrate nature’s down-to-earth gifts of life, people, and wine. We are just a few country miles outside of Blue Ridge, and we look forward to welcoming you! About the Farm In the early 1960s, the seed was planted, for what would one day become Serenberry Vineyards, when Henry and Ethelyn Jernigan came to North Georgia. After hearing about the area’s trout fishing, they purchased acreage in Morganton, Georgia, with a house and a barn that had been built in the 1920s. After selling the house to a couple of close friends, they converted the barn into what has been known as ‘the Little House’ ever since. Fast forward two generations later, and the Little House is still in the family. Years ago, the original house was repurchased, and now overlooks a beautiful vineyard. The Little House was renovated, exposing its original roots as a barn, and was transformed into the Tasting Barn in 2012.

Love their wine! The bar tender on Wednesday, sorry didn’t get name, was amazingly informative! Their wines are in the top 2 in the area! Limited selection because of their amazing flavors!!! A must stop!!!

Thank You, CLW; we are glad to hear you enjoyed our wines - which range from dry whites, to light and heartier reds, to sweet wines. We appreciate you for spreading the word!

Couldn't help but feel like the owners of this place don't like the people who live here. Why the mask mandate? Won't be going back. I'd rather support a winery that supports the values of the community.

We love where we live and the wonderful folks in our community - a big reason why we followed the CDC guidelines during the pandemic. Once they modified their recommendations related to masks, we did too.

Lovely
Apr 2021
I just drove by to find the location for a future visit (and it was a beautiful day) but really just wanted to leave a 5-star review to contrast the 2 other April 2021 visitors that are freaking out about pulling a mask over their mouth/nose for 30 seconds. You have earned a future visitor and will tell my friends! I get the risk is low right now, but would have no problem doing this to refill my glass in case it keeps others safe right now.

Their Mask Requirement
Apr 2021
I live very close to this winery and have enjoyed going to this with my daughters and others because of this reason along with the fact that it does have very good tasting wine. I went on Sunday the 11th of April 2021 for the first time in a long time. When we arrived it was about 1:00 pm. There was no one there at the time we got there. I had been the one that Recommended this winery two my nieces and daughter and sister-in-law. So there was five of us. Two of them went in the back porch of the place and ordered four glasses of wine. There was nothing said about them not wearing a mask. But then on return for another glass two ladies that were working in the store part of the house that was blocked off by two wine barrels told them they had to wear a mask if they wanted to order and get any wine. There was never more than one or two ladies in the porch area where the order was taking place. The door was wide open to this part and there was at least three feet between the ladies and any one of our group. There was also a sign saying you had to wear a mask to be aloud to us a one person bathroom that was to the side of the porch. This kind of over mandate of mask was a downer to our fun day that we had plan for a long time. Being that one of the girls was visiting from Texas . She has not had many ladies day out since she had a baby during the Covid 2020. Another reason we choose this one so we would be close by incase she was needed. Only one other couple came during the three hours we were there. They too did not like the mask mandate. They told us they knew the owner and he would not be happy they did not think. We spent at least $150 there between us and you would have thought they would have been happy for our business. I live and work in this area, in fact I work at a Boutique in downtown Blue Ridge and I give recommendations to people all the time where the best wineries in restaurants are I have recommended this one many times. But I will be sure to tell people of the mask mandate requirement before sending them there. If I don’t have to wear a mask in any restaurant in Blue Ridge why should I have to wear a mask to step on the back porch of a small winery house to order a glass of wine is my question? I also like Château in Cherry Log, GA. It is a huge winery with lots of outdoor seating no mandate for masks and is always a crowded place with live music. It is my favorite one if I choose to drive that far out of Morganton.

M Woody, we are glad you enjoy our wine, and we genuinely appreciate your business. Because the safety of our customers and our team is important to us, we are consistent about following the CDC guidelines. This currently includes wearing a mask and keeping a distance of 6 feet. We understand how confusing it can be when restaurants have different guidelines to follow compared to a winery like ours, which is housed in a small structure that was originally a barn. For this reason, we are upfront in communicating our safety protocols through our website and onsite signage. Your group’s extended visit and continued purchases gave us the impression you were enjoying your time in our wide open green spaces. Given this, we were surprised when you came inside our small, enclosed back porch without a mask and began yelling at us about our mask policy - and threatening to spread the word for others not to visit because of it. We hope you can understand the positive intent behind our safety efforts, as we all want to move beyond this pandemic one day soon.

Mask Power Trippers
Apr 2021
Let me start by stating that this a lovely little winery in a beautiful location, which is why I’m even giving the two stars. We went with a group of 5 (ladies day out). The actual inside of the winery is blocked off and you have to order on this “back porch/sunroom” type area, which is fine. We sat outside and enjoyed the fresh air. However, when I’d go to grab another glass of wine from the porch/sunroom area they would continually ask for me to put a mask on after explaining my autoimmune condition which restricts my airways. I’m not sure why I need to put a mask on to grab a glass of wine from a room in which they weren’t even standing in. Like literally they had the shop blocked off with wine barrels, so no. I don’t need to put a mask on to walk three steps onto a sunroom/porch (with wide open doors and plenty of open air) and straight back outside with no one within even 15 feet of me. Totally ruined our vibe. We spent a lot of money, and probably would have enjoyed staying longer but we were so tired of every time we wanted a refill, being told to put our mask on just to grab a glass of wine off a back porch. Definitely going to Chateau Meichtry next time. Bigger vineyard with live music anyways. THERES NO MASK MADATE in Georgia. I have a shop in Downtown Blue Ridge, and we’ll be sending our customers referrals to other wineries from here on out.

Abby, we understand your perspectives are different than ours. Since we are a small business, depending heavily on positive word of mouth, we need to note that M Woody, who posted a similar review, was also in your party. Your group spent the majority of a beautiful Sunday afternoon with us, and seemed to have a good time around our well-loved firepit. When a member of your party told us one of her glasses of wine had accidentally spilled, we immediately replaced it for her. After initially telling us you did not own a mask, you then mentioned your health condition. We tried to find a suitable solution for you, and suggested one of the other members of your party - who were coming in frequently, while wearing a mask - help with your purchases. We care about our customers and our team, and will continue to follow the CDC’s guidelines for safety. As a small business, and as individuals, we aim to spread joy. We hope folks find it, including you, even if it happens to not be with us.

Honeymoon Winery Stop
Oct 2020
We visited a few vineyards while in Blue Ridge and this was our favorite! Such a great variety of wines to enjoy and all unique in flavor. Also, the owners are very knowledgable and great to talk to. When they found out we were on our honeymoon they gave us complimentary wine charms, so sweet! Their outside area was also beautiful and great to relax and talk with other visitors safely.

Nice day at the winery
Feb 2020
Attended a Galentines Day event at Serenberry Vineyards and enjoyed trying many different wines. They have a fire pit out back that I’m looking forward to sitting around this summer while enjoying a glass. Owners are very accommodating and work hard to have you enjoy their place. Great place- highly recommend,

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Serenberry winery. Tucked away in the north georgia mountains is a treat for anyone who loves to trek the unbeaten path.we tried all 7 of their wines in the tasting room 4 of them resonated with us, so bought a case, 3 of each!.
The history of how this unique winery came to be is a classic American story. Hard work and determination still pays off!
