We visited Central State today. I’m sure a great number of people were helped there, but now it’s a ghost town. What a shame that all the buildings are abandoned and crumbling. We enjoyed talking to the security guard.

So much history here, yet so sad. As long as the signs posted are respected security is not an issue. But they are watching, as these building are slowly falling down.

Until you walk the grounds and see the sheer size of this complex does it sink in that this was at its time what mental health care looked like... Sharing the complex are two vacant prisons... Be sure to seek out the hospital cemetery located...More

we visited and the security guard even took us to the cemetery and others grounds to et amazing pics. This place is run down but most buildings are wonderful pics, including the power plant its huge, looks like the whitehouse.
