It surely forces the strongest of the hearts to re thibk history and value the sacrifyces of these heroes and families... we get emotional even of we don't usually do it...

I visited my father's grave who was buried in the veterans section of valor. I have no problem finding his grave and have positive memories of the experience our family had here several years ago. This location has well maintained grounds and a service for purchase to place flowers on the grave if desired. It makes me feel good that his grave is maintained and the funeral home and chapel are very nice as well.

It is beautiful at Christmas time when all the wreaths are on the graves. It is a special place for us as my husbands dad's coffin flag flys here,

The Georgia Memorial Cemetery is easy to find on Cobb Parkway between Windy Hill and Terrell Mill Roads. It has several acres of well-maintained grass with winding paved paths. What I like best is that the grave markers are flush with the ground, many decorated with flowers. There are a few buildings with classical architecture. It gives the impression of a gently rolling, flower-dotted meadow. I like to walk along the paths and contemplate the past in peaceful solitude.

This is a huge cemetery which is very nice. It is very well maintained. If you like to visit cemeteries to read the various epitaphs on markers, they have a huge assortment to view. They do have mausoleums at this cemetery. This is not a spooky cemetery at all. It is very glamorously maintained.

As a Patriot Guard Rider I have been to this cemetery many times for veterans funerals. I have worked closely with the staff and they are always very professional. They do care about the families they serve.
One feature that is unique is the Garden of the Cross Mausoleum. The crypts are in ground with laid out in the out line shape of a cross. Then they left an area about 18 feet wide to allow visitors to walk "in" the cross. There is a small stairway on each point of the cross. As you approach it is hard to see but when you walk into it is a wonderful look. The "walls" are the crypt fronts.
There is also a fabulous above ground mausoleum with a beautiful chapel.

Large, beautiful and very well maintained. It is spread over a large hill side between Windy Hill Rd and Dobbins Airfield with its main entrance on Cobb Parkway where Terrell Mill Rd dead ends into it. Even though we have no family or friends there we drive thru it slowly from time to time to experience the beautiful serenity

Well-kept cemeteries have a poignant, haunting beauty about them. The Georgia Memorial has a menacing beauty of its own. It is a vast, manicured ground with well-planned layout. The serene air is unmistakable. The cemetery has different areas, but most of them with small plaques and white stones. Some are bigger. Two rows of vaults are arraned on the two sides os a slopping ground. There is no crowding. Several funeral home are placed far a part.

The tombstones wisper little bits of personal history. It's a place for contemplation, and the experience may be humbling.
