Sadly, another empty storefront on the square in Madison. Closed. Was a great business, offering indy movies, light refreshments, and a bar in the back. Even closed, it's still the 7th best thing to do in Madison. :)

This shop was wonderful, little theater and food and even a bar to the rear but it is not out of business and the building is vacant waiting for, hopefully, a new owner - it is right on the town square and next to the courthouse.

Accompanied my grandson on a spring 2015 Pre-K walking tour of downtown Madison. Ricky D's was absolutely wonderful to a very excited group of youngsters. They thoroughly enjoyed the treats they were offered and the brief video showing. A great loss to our community.

This establishment was great when it was open. The owners promoted it constantly. It was a sandwich & soda bar up front and the rear included a luxury wine bar and a cinema for about sixty people-max

Strolled around Madison and came upon Ricky D's. Feels like It should have been called Happy Days because it had a 50's feel and made you feel well, Happy. They had 2 of the sweetest girls working, one was the owners daughter and she worked harder than most people twice her age and the other girl was very pleasant. The have a theatre and tiny museum that added to this great little ice cream shop. The best part which was not open but looks like it must be the place in Madison to go to is a speak easy in the back. Wow! Wasn't expecting that. I was told they may be shutting down which would be a real shame. If you visit Madison you must stop at Ricky's.
