About
Conveniently located off of I-85 North and Sugarloaf Parkway, Medieval Times is located 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta and less than 15 minutes from the I-285/I-85 (Spaghetti Junction). Medieval Times recreates an era when royalty gathered for tournaments and feasted while watching knights compete on horseback. Our dinner theatre takes you and your guests out of today's world and back to 11th century Spain where they are treated as royalty.

Won't be back
Aug 2021 • Family
My family of 5 watched the show on Sunday, August 29. This was our 4th time and probably the last one.We usually come to celebrate our kids' birthdays. It used to be free admission on your birthday with adult ticket. We have 2 birthdays in one month so it helped to save some money. They no longer have Free admission on your birthday. They sent a Code for your birthday but the price was the same as on their website. So it might be pricey for a bigger family.
The first time we visited the show we were seating in the Blue section right across the arena from the queen. These seats and the seats near the queen are the worst seats. My small kids could barely see anything. All 5 of us ware glasses. I learned my lesson and the other times I came 2 hours before the show to get the seats in Black and white section.
Their seats are " first come first served " basis. They open 90 minutes before the show. This is the information on their website.
This time I also arrived 2 hours before the show and was the first in line. But now they open 60 minutes before the show.Ok.Not a big deal I just stood 1hour in front of the box office. When finally they opened and I asked about the seats in Black and white section they told me that the seats were already randomly pre-assigned, not " first come first serve basis" any more. Ofcourse we got the seats right next to the queen. My whole family was very upset. If I knew about the seats I would not buy the tickets and spent my money somewhere else.
The food was not good either. Soup tasted awful. On my first bite of chicken I got long black hair .Ice cream is of a very low quality. When I came home I felt sick and nauseous.
The show was boring. Maybe because this was our 4th time watching it and we sat too far away.....The service was bad too.Nobody asked if we ware celebrating birthdays so no candle on the icecream. The nights no longer throw flowers to their fans.Flowers are randomly distributed to the first row by a waitress.
Altogether it was a bad experience. My birthday boy was upset because we sat far away and he forgot his glasses at home so he couldn't see the fights very well.
This visit was not worth the money at all.

Awesome time

If you love horses and jousting, then this is the place for you!! You will be entertained as you eat a 4 course meal. The dinner was delicious and consisted of a half roasted chicken, baked potato (half) and a small ear of corn. As you enter the castle, you may decide on a nice cold beverage. But have no fear, this is perfectly suited for a family as well!!
And don't forget to cheer your knight to victory and boo the others!! My mother and I had an enjoyable time!!

Don’t waste your money

Not worth the price. The entrance was unorganized. Lots of people bunching in one area - no clue where or when to get the items for the royal package. Don’t Easter your money on the knighting ceremony. It’s like trying to propose to someone in a loud bar - sure it’s special but the surroundings make it a waste of time. The show itself was boring. The story line is hard to follow with random deviations from the plot. At one point, there was a horse running around in a circle for 10 minutes. If you are fascinated at the sight of a horse then this is for you. The bulk of the show is a horse running fast for a few seconds, skipping, standing on hind legs, walking sideways and that’s about it. There is a battle at the very end which was good but it’s only about 25% of the whole show. The food was good! The Ice cream dessert was disgusting though.

Waist of time and money
Jun 2021 • Couples
Service, water not filled for 20 minutes, the tomato soup was a small portion luckily as it was nasty and I do enjoy tomato soup. Garlic bread was a small piece but just fair, the baked chicken came from frozen, the meat was black around the bone, the half baked potato... dry. The corn on the cob was worse than any frozen I've ever had.. Glasses remained empty as no wait staff was near. The show while geared for small children was well done. Eat before you come. $45 per person... stay away.

This was a great experience. I've traveled a lot and done a lot. Visited downtown Atlanta and did some tourist stuff. Honestly Medieval times would be the only reason I'd come back this way. Everything was just fun and professional. Kudos to everyone who worked there. Meal was great, show was great.

I have never had a bad experience with Medieval Times. The food, servers, and host were great. My oldest son does not empress easily but he was cheering for the blue knight.

My finace` and I came to Medieval Times for an overnight getaway. She had never been and her excitement was almost childlike. Everything was awesome. We had VIP passes and sat directly at ring side. The food and performance was wonderful. Be prepared to eat with your hands since you don't get utensils. It is a really cool experience. Our server was great and took care of us. My fiance` has already said we would be coming back.
