Hot weather means you need a boat or something to float on! We have stayed at site 51 and the one just past it on the lake and they were great sites! Bath house is clean and nice. Tennis courts, boat launches and lots of lake activity. Not much around the park but Lavonia has a few places worth the trip!

Stayed a night for tent camping. We reserved a sight with wonderful water views. Bath house/restrooms were extremely clean. The park as a whole was clean as well. Very quiet at night. Saw a lot of campers- seemed to be a popular place. I would come back- the park offers beach access, nature trails and other stuff- so it appears to be a solid family activity place. saw a fox roaming, birds singing and plenty of squirrels= great to see wildlife. Camp site had electrical hookups, fire pits and picnic table

This park has great camping sites with water views on Lake Hartwell. The yurts are also very nice. Bathhouses are well-kept and the hostess are very nice and helpful.... especially RITA! There is no septic hookup, but a convenient pump out station.

Coming to enjoy the peace and quiet? Stay elsewhere. We stayed in Yurt #1, and all we heard was loud music, cackling, yelling, banging that I still can’t figure out what they were doing for hours on end, hollering, car doors slamming, trash can lids banging, and the cart rolling up and down the hill at all hours of the day and night. For $75 I got to be cold, (The 2 space heaters were garbage. If it wasn’t for the small heater I brought that blowed right on me at night, we would have left the first night.) sleep on a rock hard futon that smelled moldy, and pee in a bucket. We were too afraid to walk across to the bathroom station at night because both nights we stayed, there were coyotes yelping right outside the yurt. Never ever again. For $75/night I’ll stay elsewhere. (The ONLY good thing I have to say is that the comfort station was kept clean, and I saw a woman coming to clean them, even on a Saturday. SHE gets 1 star. The other star is for the fact that we didn’t get eaten by coyotes.)
