Very nice state park. Swimming is best in late spring and early summer, July and August water temps are above 80 degrees, unless you go out on the boat and dive down about 20 feet - nice cold water down there. Relaxed atmosphere, beach, campground, and pioneer camping for groups, but the camp hosts are pretty strict, so make sure... More

Camped in the location for years. Its a great place for kids to ride bikes and play. They are a mega boat ramp, easy in and out. Lots of camping spots.

I was suspicious driving to the park when it seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. We didn't see much of the park since my two young children were only interested in the playground. The playground was nice and surrounded by pavilions. There was a lake that was being enjoyed by a group of people and looked very... More

We camped at Tugaloo this weekend and from the start had some reluctant feelings upon arrival. There was party goers up all night saturday night along with a drunk driver that almost ran some folks over trying to walk to the bathhouse. The next morning i got up to realize that someone had stolen my $400 yeti cooler that was... More

We stayed at a cabin/cottage in Tugaloo with our 8 and 10 year old children over Spring Break and had a great time. We rented a boat from Harbor Light Marina (just a 10 minute boat or car ride from Tugaloo) and docked it at our cabin since we had two docks very close to us. We stayed in cabin... More

We have lived within 3 miles of Tugaloo for almost 20 years yet never camped there until this week. Boy, talk about missing out! The kids have spent their time riding bicycles, playing frisbee, and meeting new kids from all over the country. We have actually relaxed. The bath houses are really clean and there are plenty to choose from.... More

We live only 10 minutes from Tugaloo but camp there often. It is a great escape. Whether you travel miles or minutes, the camping is great. Campsites are spacious and offer privacy or community, whichever you choose. We have also enjoyed other parts of the park, such as the beach, golf, biking, family and reunion gatherings, swings, etc. The Yurt... More

Fall is a favorite camping time for my family and we try to stay at new places whenever possible. We booked camping at Tugaloo because of no available sites at Tallulah Gorge for the dates we traveled. This turned out to be a bit of luck because the campground at Tugaloo is very nice. The comfort stations are very clean... More
