This is one of my favorite place to vacation! There is so much history to learn about and the island itself is beautiful. I have vacationed here several times and enjoy bringing new people to experience the place. Make sure you walk around the grounds...More

This is a step back in time, to see how the New York rich and famous spent their summer vacations. You get to imagine what a summer day was like all those years ago. Homes have been beautifully kept and reflect that time period, when...More

Great tour of the Jekyll Island Historic District on the trolley. I would highly recommend it. We loved stopping and touring the interior of a few of the homes.

I did a drive-through on a recent trip to Jekyll. I am a professional photographer and wanted to get some shots in the area while I was there shooting a three-day event.

There is no place quite like this anywhere in the world! Wander the grounds and buildings where The Jekyll Club members vacationed for the winter starting in the late 1800's until 1942. Within the membership of the club, were people that represented 1/6 of the...More

Although the tour is a great way to see & learn about the cottages, we rode our bikes on the designated bike path. Each cottage has a sign or historical marker with plenty of information to read. This allowed us to walk around the homes...More

Fantastic step back in time to learn about the island and how it became a club for our countries rich. 50 of the wealthiest families built cottages here and when together in the summer had 1/6 of the world's wealth on Jekyll Island.

There is so much neat stuff to see here if you are a history buff. Faith Chapel alone is worth seeing for the beautiful stained glass. The cottages are neat, and they have turned some of them to other uses, like the art gallery and...More

My teen and I walked around the historic district before going to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center (they are right next to each other). It was disappointing. All of the shops are touristy and overpriced. Will not go back.

The airport choices are JAX or Savannah. They are nearly equidistant from Jekyll. There is a tiny airport in Brunswick, but it requires an expensive plane change. Charleston airport is a little less than 3.5hrs away... More

Walking around and seeing sights, absolutely! They do have some shops, but I'm not sure about lunch. They have some snack shops, but no actual restaurant.
