The driftwood trees on this beach are beautiful. Great photo ops here, and kids will enjoy climbing over and around them. A really unusual site well worth the visit. Parking is in wide spots along the road. Just look for beach access.

This one picturesque place for different events, great views and old trees, love walking the beach but best if able horse back riding, and bike riding.

Beautiful beach located on North end of island. A must see in the area. Free parking and several paths lead to beach. Great spot for photos but not so much for swimming.

This place had an eerie feel with all of the dead trees. Lots of dogs. Not good for swimming. Beautiful though!

Full size trees washed up as driftwood line the beach and lots of them. Great place for photography. Looks like they were setting up for a wedding when we were there around noon. My daughter thought the place was creepy.

We visited the beach and were awe struck at the trees. It is so unique and interesting. It did not look like a great place to lay on the beach...it was for walking and admiring the scenery.

Great stop along I-95 to FL; been wanting to see this for a long time. Island is only @ 9 miles from interstate, then small fee for day to Jekyll Isld. Will def. come here again...little crowded, but def. photo worthy and place for kids...More

We spent time midday and during the evening so we saw both low and high tide. We loved it. The trees are amazing and there are dim many places to explore. The sunrise must be amazing. Good for kids couples or solo travelers. Best way...More

Never seen anything quite like this. Big trees which have been hit by the waves over the years leaving amazing marks of nature and patterns. While we were there we witnessed a wedding. A must visit for anyone visiting Jekyll Island. Get amazed in real.

We didn't know about this part of the beach until we looked here on TA. There is literally driftwood everywhere and the name serves the beach well there. Water is cold in the winter but warm in the summer. You can fish off this beach...More

I apologize for the too long delay in my reply. The beach is on the north end of the island with an east facing....so I was seriously wrong about setting sun. It's rising.

The beach is located on Jekyll island so you firstly need to pay the $6 vehicle entry fee to enter the island. Once you go through the entrance toll, all the attractions/ sites are quite easily signposted. You definitely... More

You would have to walk through a wooded area in sand. I would have someone walk the path first to see how soft it is. The beach itself is hard. Depending on how you maneuver through the driftwood you could see quite a bit of... More
