First of all...the staff here are amazing. All really great, funny, and knowledgeable people you could tell loved what they do. We probably saw 20-25 dolphins throughout our 1 1/2 hour tour and we’re given great commentary and discussion with Captain Paul and Captain Pablo. Thanks guys!

We have gone on a dolphin tour with this company three times. They always do a great job sharing historical and entertaining information while also never failing to have found dolphins for us to see.
I had to share this review today when one of the men from this company went above and beyond. We’d gone on the tour the evening before (sunset cruise is a must do). The next night we were dining at the Wharf. Just before being seated my daughter drops her new stuffed turtle over the edge of the dock and into the pluff mud. With the turtle out of all reasonable reach, my 8 year old was devastated. As a last resort I thought the captains of Jekyll island Dolphin tour might have something that could reach it. One gentleman kindly offered to try to reach it with a fishing pole. Over the edge, through two sets of wires running along the dock, he snags the stuffed turtle and reels it to safety...saving the day and delighting my daughter. Thank you for always providing a wonderful tour that is a staple of our annual trip here but now also becoming knights in fishing gear armor. Thank you.

We were a big family group vacationing during the pandemic; not only did Jekyll Island Dolphin Tours make us feel safe, they made sure we were thoroughly entertained as this was our only public outing during our trip. The captain and his first mate aka wife, were hilarious and made us all feel part of the tour. It was a sunset tour, but it rained the entire time, so we only saw the sunset as we were driving back home, but that didn't take away from the experience at all! We had two boys, ages 4 and 7, and they were both enthralled, as were all the adults! Would absolutely do it again (and be sure and eat at Zachary's River House before the tour - get there early!)

The tour comes with a wonderful commentary about the local area and about dolphins. The tour guide is knowledgeable and also amusing. We saw many dolphins at the second spot they tried. We highly recommend this trip. You can tell that the two guys enjoy what they are doing and love their audiences.

Our captain and tour guide were funny and entertaining, and the boat was the perfect size for allowing everyone on board to get a good view of the tons of dolphins that we saw! There must have been 100 surrounding our boat. It was a wonderful way to spend an evening on Jekyll Island. Not so hot since the sun was setting and spectacular views. We had a ball! And they give a generous military discount, which we appreciated very much.

Captain Pablo was so entertaining and provided a lot of history and information on the dolphins, the island and the Jekyll Island Club. He also kindly provided a rain coat when a pop-up storm hit us out on the water and I got soaked. Both captains were absolutely wonderful and made the trip fantastic. Seeing many, many dolphins didn’t hurt either! Thank you all!

Our family came at a time of the year when storms can easily cancel plans, but the team at Jekyll Island Dolphin Tours were very in tune with what was happening and consolidated tours for those who were willing to still give it a try. They made sure we were all safe and made the trip very worthwhile.
Our captains worked well together, providing great information to fully understand the area as well as dolphin life and their interaction with the wildlife community in the area.
Their talking was never too much, each bit of information or talking added to the trip.
It was a great time and well worth the $$.

My husband and I took our 4 year old granddaughter on the dolphin tour. It was such fun! Captain Scoot and Pablo were very entertaining and informative as they guided us to see the dolphins. Both included interesting history of Jekyll Island and answered questions. We hope to make this an annual tradition when we camp during Labor Day weekend with our adult kids and grandchildren.

Paul and Linda were great hosts / co-captains and provided really interesting (but not too technical) information about Jekyll and surrounding islands and waterways. Had to look around to find the elusive dolphins, but persistence paid off. Late afternoon weather was sensational and only added to the enjoyment of the outing.

Captain Adam was phenomenal. He and his wife were very entertaining and they were excellent at pointing out and explaining the local ecosystem. We saw a tremendous number of dolphins and even saw a baby dolphin. Highly recommended!

On the sunset cruise is it still light enough to get pictures of the dolphins or is it really more about the sunset?

We do not see whales on our tours. The Georgia State mammal
is the Right Whale and they are federally protected, it is illegal to operate a vessel in the direction or to get within 1500 feet of a Right Whale.

We usually see dolphin about 98% of the time, sometimes it's just a few, most of the time it is a dozen or so and sometimes we see hundreds. The main thing that determines how many that we see is their feeding habits at that particular time. The wind and rain don't make much difference to the dolphin but it greatly effects the birds habits. Calm sunny days at a lower tide is when we see the most birdlife.
