Both South Carolina and Georgia do not follow through with directions to places. You see the sign in Helen where to turn to go to the bridge, but then there are no other signs and you can drive right past the bridge without seeing.it. it blends in the scenery and is beside the bridge you cross in a curve, so... This is a small covered bridge on the outskirts of Helen, Georgia. The surrounding scenery is quite beautiful and the bridge itself is historic and charming.

It took us longer than needed to find this bridge as there wasn't a clear address available using GPS. We sort of had to stumble upon it while driving around. But it was neat to walk over this old bridge and just imagine what it was like years ago. You can't drive over it anymore but you can walk over... More

We have several covered bridges around our home, this is a small bridge compared to the ones in Alabama . Nice ride to get there.

Small bridge, decent sized parking lot, plenty of graffiti but we love local history and this is the smallest covered bridge in Georgia. Is interesting and totally worth the 10 minute stop we made here. The day we visited it was possible to wade ankle deep in the water.

Lovely old bridge with an interesting history and celebrity status. It's in really good condition for pedestrians. Off to the side is the highway bridge spanning the Chattahoochee River. It's a shame, however, that people have no respect for history for the bridge is covered with spray paint graffiti. Stop by and just enjoy a piece of history.

This covered bridge is a gorgeous throwback to a by-gone era. It's easy to find, and the parking allows you to get out and explore the area a little bit. While you're in the area, stop and visit the old general store in Sautee!

I visited this bridge the first time in the Fall of 2015. Just off the road with a small parking area. Pretty spot on the creek that would be a nice spot to cool off in summer. But, so sad that the bridge has been defaced with graffiti. I drove there again in July 2016 hoping to see the graffiti... More

We had a cabin near the bridge so we stopped to see it one day while we were on that road. It is neat to see but just a one time thing. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back to it.

This stop was OK. If your not already headed that way, don't go out of your way. The bridge was covered in graffiti inside and out. There are a couple of picnic tables there, but they were right out in the sun.
