We camped here for 3 nights and loved it! Our site was in the Laurel Ridge section which was very convenient to the Visitor Center, Amphitheater (there was a great free concert while we were there), playground and the trail that went to the swimming beach. Our site offered Electric/Water, however, they do offer some full-service sites as well. We... More

Unicoi State Park is well maintained. The camping areas were very nice and the Visitor Center in the camp area was impressive.

So may trails, creeks, and fun. We went during Florida's spring break. It was cool for us and not "in season" for Georgia, but we still had a lot of fun. We stayed in the cabin by the creek and loved it. The only thing you need to bring is food! Bring a good pair of walking shoes and a... More

There is plenty to do here. The Welcome Center/store is great and the walk from there to the swim area was a good hike ( and dogs are welcomed). The swim area is perfect for children or adults. They also rent canoe, kayaks, paddle boards and paddle boats in the afternoons. Just up the road is the Anna Ruby Falls.

Compared to other places. Anna Ruby falls and lake swimming were also nice. Husband had a good time fishing while the teenagers enjoyed other activities. Something for everyone.

We camped at Unicoi State park this past weekend. While I'm a big fan of camping, I usually like a little more seclusion from other campers. We chose the walk-in camp sites thinking that would give us what we wanted but, that was not the case. The sites are literally right next to each other so you don't have much... More

I always liked staying at the lodge at Unicoi. My husband made reservations for my birthday and didn't mention that the price was ridiculous. When we got there, the place was almost deserted. The gift shop wasn't open or the restaurant. Turns out it is all contracted out now and weekends are the only time things are open. Would have... More

We have camped here many times and will keep coming back. This is a very quiet friendly place. But please remember that you are in the bear country. You're in there house. But don't let that stop you from going there. We love to tent camp and they don't bother anyone. Just make sure your food is put "UP"
