We had a great time at the park. We only had enough time [1hr] to only explore the area near the welcome center, but we will be back. I enjoyed the natural sights and the lake was beautiful. Wear sneakers and have lots of water.

We were very impressed with the care this park is given. Family friendly! lots of trails, water rolling over huge boulders. You won't be crowded here. Hiking families will love this park.

Beautiful water falls. The hike up to the falls is not to exerting. The trail is paved with recycled automobile tires that made the walk very comfortable. Don't miss this experience.

Our goal was to visit Anna Ruby Falls, which is inside but separate from the state park. We messed up and paid $5 for the park parking pass before going to the falls (state park pass not needed if only going to falls). So we decided to explore the park too. We rented a canoe at the beach area and... More

Drove through the park on the way to Anna Ruby Falls. It was a nice drive and the park appears to provide a lot of space for private gatherings (e.g. picnics).

We spent the afternoon at Lake Unicoi. The water was perfect temperature (you could go right in without gasping at any coldness) and it was so clear and clean. A very sandy bottom with no little creatures to worry about. There were rentals for paddleboats and paddleboards and also a picnic pavilion. We brought a picnic lunch and ate in... More

A very nice state park. Went hiking on the Helen trail, well marked. Found the geocache hidden as part of the GA state park geocaching adventure.

Beautiful falls and park. Must see if in the area. Falls are a hard walk if not physically fit. The .40 walk is all uphill. Beach and picnic areas.
