Beautiful River!

This river can be seen all around Helen, GA. We saw it at different areas, each time more beautiful than the last. Would love to visit it during the summer!

We were there in the winter but we noticed a fair amount of trash on the banks of the river. It is very popular for tubing, perhaps to a fault in the summer. There are stretches away from town that a more picturesque.

Tubing on the river is a great way to spend a summer afternoon. The river isn't very deep which makes is easy for the younger folks to navigate. You get to see Helen from a unique point of view

You can see the River from so many places in the town. Either while eating at one of the restaurants or while off the beaten path at the general store. (There, they have a place you can feed the trout.) The store on your way into town. The way it winds through town just adds to the beauty of this... More

The water levels were low so there was no water rafting on the river. Very disappointing because we wanted to hear the babbling brook.

Its a long scenic cristaline river that run across mountains, valleys and downtown Helen. It run around hotels, restaurant, pops, cottages and country side. Go and ride on rubber tube station.

Very dry here, Forrest fires in Carolinas are cramping outdoor activities but river runs through town and very peaceful and relaxing. It's a big part of Helen.

Headwaters of one of the longest river systems south of the Savannah River. The water is real low right now as the region is experiencing a drought, but usually in the summer, tubing opportunities on this river are awesome!

This is a very pretty river that ran across the back of our hotel property. Looks very clean. Our dog loved playing in the river and we enjoyed sitting in some swings alongside the river.
