The water was clear and pristine. I don't know about the summertime when they do tubing on it but the fall color around the banks was beautiful.

Can float down river with family and friends for miles. Relaxing on the river talking with friends and enjoying pretty views as you go.

My grandsons, ages 12 and 14, floated the tubes in early October 2018. It was occasionally a bit challenging when we got stuck on a rock, but overall totally easy, lovely and peaceful. Strongly suggest that EVERY person in your group purchase the $4 "stick"...More

Beautiful quiet river to enjoy nature and fish for trout. We were able to fish along the river and enjoy nature from the benches placed along the river in the park.

enjoyed the float down the river on a hot afternoon--places a little difficut to float because of rocks and depth of water but not dangerous in any way--Enjoy

Very nice! Only $5 per person all day that's just for tubing on the Chattahoochee River! Can be relaxing and we try to go at least once a year. Highly recommended for all ages!

My wife and I enjoyed the 2 hr. tube experience. There were places along the river where you could receive sunlight, but there were probably more places in the shade. Beautiful river.

I was concerned about it being cold, too, but it was comfortable. The tube keeps you out of the water until it dips and fills with some, but it is refreshing as others have answered. Even when you have to get unstuck, you... More

I have been to Atlanta and have done all the top tourist attractions, now when I come in July I am looking for water based activities within a couple of hours drive. What are some of the favorite hidden gems in the area? I found snorkeling in the Conasauga river, tubing the Chattahoochee river , the tallullah Gorge slide. What are your recommendations? Are these three activities worth the time? Or is there something better? I will be traveling with an 8 and 11 year old, plus a 70 + person. We...More

You can also go up to the Ocoee river in Tennessee (about a 2 hour or less drive) for an exciting white water rafting experience. Lake Lanier also has several water activities that may interest you and your travel companions. For good scenery, Amicalola falls state park in Dawsonville, GA and Tallulah falls in Habersham are great hikes with beautiful views. They are both roughly about 1.5hours from Duluth
