Beautiful wilderness but not so wild on weekends when you see people all around camping, hiking and trailing behind you:) Mossy trees, streaming river, cool shade makes an enchanted hike which is easy to accomplish with all levels. Dogs are welcome.

The huge granite cliffs at the end of the walk are very cool, but it's about the journey, not just the destination. Lots of great places to stop and cool off and play along the way, beautiful flora, and a nice shady walk on a hot day. Three or four visits over the years - the highway that leads here... More

We took a day trip up to Raven Cliff. The hike was fun and we brought our dog. She enjoyed being able to run around in the water along the trail. Bring proper shoes and plenty of water and maybe a snack or lunch as the trail is a little long but as long as you are prepared you will... More

Challenging hike, but not too strenuous. Fairly flat trail with some rocks/roots to get over. Nice view of the falls, which fall through a hug crack in the cliff. Two smaller falls to see along the way.

Went back for a do-over from this hike 2 years ago since we started too late then & didn't make it to the top. This time we got there earlier in the afternoon. It was Fathers Day and busy but not crowded. Trip to the top is 2&1/2 miles & took a little under 2 hours. You have to watch... More

We really enjoyed this hike and played in the water and waterfalls so much that a 5 mile hike took 4 hours. There are several waterfalls along the way and you can get down in them and walk in them (wear shoes that allow this). The last waterfall is very unusual and interesting. Do beware - we saw 2 snakes... More

Lovely hike, worth the trip. Free parking, latrine at trailhead only. Dogs allowed on leashes. Watch out for poison ivy, there is a lot along the trail. Not a difficult hike, but pay attention so you don't trip on exposed tree roots, rocks or slippery spots. Bring water and snacks.

This is a great hike for kids, as it follows the creek, crosses neat little log bridges and passes other waterfalls on the way up to Raven Cliffs. It is uphill most of the way on a well worn path. The waterfall at the end: you have to scramble up the rubble to see the actual falls and the little... More

My husband and I took our engagement photos here 7 years ago. We returned on July 2nd (busy holiday weekend) with our two kids under age 3. The parking lot was overflowing onto the access road (but FREE). Word has definitely gotten out about this trail. Having a point of comparison, we can see how erosion has affected the trail... More

This is an easy hike up to the waterfalls. It's quite peaceful and the sounds of the water makes it very relaxing. You could see the water most of the time from the trail. The trail is also easily recognizable. It's not too hard a trail, however, there are a lot of tree roots, so just be careful. There are... More
