Weekend in Ga (5 Replies)
My husband and I are travelling to Ga this weekend for him to visit the Atlanta Motor Speedway for a one day NASCAR driving school. We are having problems deciding where to stay, as it seems like there is not much to do right around the track it sounds like we would be better off staying in another area. We were planning to eat at Fogo de Chao while we are there and had wanted to go to the Atlanta aquarium, but I am having second thoughts about the aquarium after reading reviews here. My...More

Not to re-launch the entire debate, but I strongly disagree with the poor reviews of the aquarium. I think that people with poor opinions are far more likely to post than those who are favorably impressed, and so I think the volume of the negative posts is misleading. All I can say is that after 5 visits I still love it, and among my friends and family, I have not encountered a single person who was not very excited. It's crowded, but there's a reason. I would skip Underground. I think...More

Las Vegas Motor Speedway (6 Replies)

Hi! I cannot answer about the Speedway interior exactly, but we have raced at the dragstrip quite a bit, same complex just north of the circle track. It can be very cold in the morning and evening, cooling down quickly at night. You are very close to the base of the mountains and it can get windy in that area. Lord knows we have dealt with some serious head winds!! Layers layers layers. Always the best in the desert. Have a great time!
Evacuation Destination (0 Replies)
Atlanta Motor Speedway- just south of the ATL airport is opening offering free motorhome, trailer camping for people evacuating Irma. They can accommodate thousands of our tin can tourists. The best route from 75 is 84 or 300 west to US 19 north. Again this is for people with motorhomes and trailers. Thank you Georgia and AMS! Please spread the word!
