Our party of two adults recently took one of the boat tours on the swamp. Because of the federal government shutdown, we were unable to go into the wildlife refuge visitor's center, but, thankfully, Okefenokee Adventures was still operating. The guide was knowledgeable and able...More

We came right after Michael of 2018, so the water was high. Reading other reviews, I now understand why we didn't see many gators, only a few eyeballs and nostrils. We've owned turtles in the past, so not too exciting there. We've also motor boated...More

Went with another couple. Enjoyed our boat tour with our guide “Two”. Could tell he loves his job and is very knowledgeable. Really enjoyed our adventure! Would recommend this to anyone who wanted to learn more about the area.

I did the swamp boat tour, and it was wonderful. The swamp is beautiful! Unfortunately, September seemed to be the wrong time of year for alligator sightings. I would still recommend the experience though.

From Okefenokee Adventures: Unless your dog is a service dog you can not take him/her on the water regardless of whether it's the tour boat, rental boat, canoe or kayak. It's for the safety of the dog. There are alligators... More
