My husband and I decided to take a tubing trip while visiting Ellijay over the labor day weekend. This place did not disappoint. The river is wide and pretty deep in some areas so I would recommend wearing a life vest. We only rode the 1 mile route and that took a little over an hour to get thru. The Rapids are fun, you may get stuck in some spots but unlike Helen it's not every five feet. We went early and it wasn't crowded. The staff was extremely nice! Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Seven of us did the 3 mile run (ages 23-63). The first mile is a nice relaxing tube ride. The next two miles have some areas with real rapids, especially at the end. The rapids were a blast and there is an option at the end to walk down or do the drop (the oldest in our group chose to walk). The people running the company were awesome and were waiting for us at the end to pick us up. We had a great time and would have done it again if we had the time.

Did the 3 mile run. There were intense parts after the first Mile. There are real rapids. We flipped our tubes a couple times. The family in front of us was scared due to the rapids. Super people running it.

Perfect intro experience to whitewater kayaking!!! I had never whitewater kayaked before and did the 3 mile run. The first mile was swift and mostly small stuff, but good for learning how to spot rocks and get a feel for the kayak The rapids increase incrementally in size but The bigger rapids don’t start unil after mile 2. The biggest one near the end (class III) rapid flipped me, but there is a place you can get out at the bottom and pull the kayak back up around and try to shoot it again. It took me 3 tries. This was just challenging enough as a firs time novice with no whitewater kayaking experience to get pumped about the sport and wanting to do more but not so challenging that I ever felt that my life was in danger. Staff are great and friendly, Max and John the driver were the ones I talked most with, great people! If you are looking to try whitewater kayaking and have no idea where to start, the 3 mile run is the perfect run for you!!!

Girlfriend and I did the 1 mile trip in tubes today. It was a lot of fun and not difficult at all. The folks at the start and the guy that picked us up at the end were friendly and helpful. The price was very fair. I highly suggest getting the push stick, it was a big help. Beautiful part of the river
