I first met James Bradley, owner of Reel 'Em In Guide, service back in 2011 when I booked my first guided trip with his company through a referral. It became the first of several trips I have taken with them over the past couple of years.
Mr. Bradley has a wealth of knowledge in flyfishing and the trout habitat of the area in general. I have learned more about fishing in N. Georgia from James in the past couple of years than I could have ever hoped to. He is a very experienced guide who can help anyone from a novice to an advanced fly fisher.
James is very informative, knowledgeable and patient. You will learn something and you will catch fish. You can tell James takes great pride in making sure his clients are successful and have a great time! He is a native of the area and I can tell he takes great pride in what he does and has a true appreciation for the sport and area.
I highly recommend Reel 'Em Inn Guid services! My wife and I take a few trips to North Georgia a year and a trip with James has become something I make sure I do each visit to the region. Our last trip was October of 2012. It has been the best experience working with a guide I have ever had.
If you are considering a trip to the North Georgia Mountains and looking for a guided trip you will not be dissapointed in this Reel 'Em In Guide Service.
Regards,
Michael M

My husband and our two teenage daughters booked a fly fishing trip with Reel'em In guide service during our summer vacation. We met the guides, James and Carter, who were just amazing. They demonstrated patience, expertise, and professionalism. I would definitely recommend booking a trip with them. It was a memorable experience catching (and releasing) our first rainbow trout. We're looking forward to doing this again with James and Carter as our guides.

We really enjoyed our trip with Reel'em In. We had 6 guys - 4 of which were in from Dallas and had never really fly fished before. The guides were high quality and helpful. Fishing guides can only control so many elements and of the ones they could control they gave us the best chance to catch fish - instruct some new fly fisherman and provide an overall good time. The water was too low to really navigate the river well. My only recommendation is that you spend the few extra dollars and get the opportunity to fish some of the private waters they offer.

Just returned from an excellent fishing trip with Reel’em in guide service to Mountaintown Creek! Our guide James helped explain the nuances of fly fishing for two first timers and we were able to incorporate his techniques into an enjoyable afternoon catching rainbow trout. I would highly recommend Reel’em in guide service to anyone interested in fly fishing north Georgia.

Mark Smith was a talented and patient teacher, guide, and fly-fishing enthusiast who absolutely delighted us with his stories and helpful tips. I had never been fly-fishing before, and my husband hadn't been in decades. The waders (which I mistakenly called gators) were a fabulous experience, and the hiking addition to "special" spots was awesome. Furthermore, on a busy and gorgeous Saturday with everyone bursting outdoors post-pandemic, Mark found us many spots without us ever seeing another soul, and we caught 8 trout (wild rainbow). He taught us several different casts in a variety of situations, cascades or deeper, and paced the excursion so we could enjoy the beauty of the river. I had emphasized that I really wanted to enjoy a beautiful place, and he said, "Trout don't like ugly places." We enjoyed the experience and his company thoroughly, and hope to ask for him next time. I also want to thank the company for accommodating us at the last minute - (we fly a small VFR plane, and can't commit early). It was definitely the highlight of our trip. We will do this again, I hope. Amazing value for the money.

A buddy and I fished the "upper section" of the Toccoa River with one of Reel 'Em In's guides, Brad, this past week.
Brad put us on some major fish and is a great guy and a friend for life, but I have some minor issues with the lunch he served us. Specifically:
The riverside-charcoaled filet mignons were very slightly over-cooked, and the North Georgia red wine was perhaps two degrees too warm. The "loaded" baked potatoes, however, were spot on!
That's all I have to say about this trip, except to say that I WILL BE BACK.

I went on a guided trout fishing trip in North Georgia with the Reel ‘Em In guide service in mid-October, 2017. My wife found them on the net while looking for a birthday gift for me and she picked a winner. They were very easy to contact, James Bradley got back to me very quickly and we arranged the trip.
They offer several types of guided trips, I chose a whole day of fly fishing on the upper Cartecay and another small stream on the eastern side of Ellijay, GA. My fly fishing experience level wasn’t particularly high so my guide (George) took the time to acquaint me with some of the finer points of fishing ‘close quarters’ rather than using the big water techniques that I had learned in the past. I plan to fish the smaller streams and rivers up in the mountains and this was exactly what I needed. He supplied the gear, very similar to my own, and showed me how to get the most out of it.
We had a great day out on the water and I managed to catch (and release) 4 rainbows that day. The first two were small but the last ones were the biggest trout I’ve ever encountered. I also gained skills with working in waders (never did that before) and reading the water in the hunt for fish. I came home very pleased with the day and dry as well.
I’ll fish with these guys again – highly recommended!

I am so sorry that I have not responded sooner to your question. Jim answered it correctly. But we only publish rates for up to two people on the site. You are welcome to call us for a rate if you have not done so. I actually need some additional info from you before giving a rate. Thank you, James

It depends on the type of trip and the number of people going on the trip. My website shows the trip and pricing up to two people. If over two, you will have to call for the pricing.
Written November 23, 2015
I thought I have already answered this question. If not, sorry it is so late. We have didn't half day trips. Float is $275, Public Wade for 1 is $175, Private Wade for 1 is $230
Thanks,
James
