When we decided to spend a few days in Atlanta, my husband found this venue while googling and we ended up buying tickets for two nights in a row. Instead of ridng the train back into Atlanta late at night, we got a room at the Courtyard Inn right in Decatur and then we could just walk back to the hotel after the concerts. We saw two very different performances, jazz piano the first night and some singer-songwriter guitarists the second night. We loved both! We also loved that the manager made sure we had a table for both nights and was just so kind, providing us a wonderful experience that we'll never forget! Thank you!

I went to Eddie's Attic to see two of Noah Gundersen's three nights performing there in October 2021. I drove close to seven hours to catch the show (I'm a big fan) and the production put on by Noah and by Eddie's made the trip well worth it.
The sound guy was stellar. As a live musician myself I'm well aware of how much of a difference the guy behind the board can make, and this guy was the best sound tech I've ever seen at a small venue. I didn't catch his name, but he killed it. Mad props.
Noah nailed it, and played a robust set of songs from throughout his career. I know that's not Eddie's doing but it's worth mentioning.
The staff were very friendly and personable, and I had a great experience with them. They required vaccines or a negative test to enter (artist's policy, Eddie's complied), and were very good about enforcing the policy. I didn't know I'd needed that info, but was able to pull it up on the spot and the door person was happy to admit me.
The venue itself is fantastic! There are tables up by the stage, a bar section with chairs, and a bleacher set in the back of the room. Every seat has a good view, all of them are padded for comfort in the long term, and even the standing room was perfectly adequate for a great concert experience.
I'm not much of a hip drink-orderer, but the bar seemed to have a perfectly good selection of drinks to peruse. The bartender was very kind as well.
Overall, if you're a fan of acoustic performances, Eddie's is as good as it gets. Noah said it himself, this venue is one of the best little rooms in the country.

First time at Eddie's and not sure what to expect. There are tables, high tops, bar seating and bleachers. The stage is small but adequate for the acoustic solo performers that play there. The full bar has great selections.

I have been a patron of Eddie's for 20 some odd years. There were many times I just showed up on a weekend evening and bought a ticket without knowing anything about the act. In all those years, I have never seen a bad performance. HOWEVER - the past 3-5 years have seen a tremendous decline in the technical execution of those performances. Eddies seems to have shifted to a "make everything loud" model and thrown actual sound quality by the wayside.
Last night's performance was so bad that the performer called out the engineer three times from the stage, AND it was punishingly loud. 12 hours later and my ears are still ringing and this was an acoustic singer songwriter. Random reverb popping in and out? Check. Random panning of the sound system left to right? Check. Feedback? Multiple times? Check. Overdriving the monitors to the point the audio starts to crack? Check.
I don't know wtf is going on. Maybe they're hiring deaf audio engineers. Whatever it is, they need to get a handle on it.

A few years ago, the ownership went to a retired Delta flight attendant. Eddie was thrown out of this business. Since then, the audience has changed. Nowadays, more elder people go there. Some of the artists who perform there are top notch (Jim White, Delta Moon), others prefer to bother the audience with their endless life stories and lamentations about their poor childhood instead of simply singing their songs. There is a rowdy deck area outside the music venue where people get drunk before they start to grab their eyes on someone else's wife or girlfriend. The interior looks shabby, most of the chairs have rotten legs. The guys who serve these southern cowboys with fries, wings and beer are absolutely friendly.

We made reservations for 12/9 show and spent a lifetime traveling on Ponce de Leon and got there after doors opened. This is a spot where you can only reserve a table for 4 and if you want to eat well too bad if no seating. I turned my head and the bar had two open stools! To be fair my wife said "what about the two at the bar".... So we both had a few beers and a their Decatur burgers. My fries were cold and the burger was just alright. My wife onion rings were good though. The show was good - lasted for 1hr and 45 min including encore of 1 song. Sonny Landreth plays good guitar for his legendary age and Cindy Cashdollar who accompanied was also good. They have both had long careers and are deserving of the sold out show here. Its our first time here and we have been to other venues in Atlanta. This was a older crowd (as we are) and all obeyed Eddie's no talking during performance announcement. So in closing if you want to eat there and be assured then get there before the doors open or fork over $140 and reserve a table for 4. That price includes the tickets.

We went to a Monday open mic night. Only $5 door. The performers were all incredible (well almost all). Almost all of them could have had a full show they were so good. For the most part, they were working professionals from across the South. Almost all of them with EPs etc already. The performers drove in from Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama just to do the open mic. I think this open mic is a big deal.
The open mic also picks some finalists and a winner. Winner gets $100 and invited back to a bigger competition later in the year.
Anyway, the point is, this was on par with an open mic at the Bluebird or anywhere else in Nashville, but conveniently in Decatur (where I was for work).
Lots of specials at the bar/restaurant for open mic too, so it was a very cheap night.
Serving staff was so nice and provided great, attentive service.
FYI for open mic night, we showed up 5 minutes before the show and paid at the door. Got great seats easily. This probably isn't true for concerts though.

I just finished reaming another local venue in a review and closed by saying they should send someone to Eddie’s to see how it’s done properly. So, time to review Eddie’s, and give ‘em some love, I suppose. We have been to Eddie’s many, many times and never had a bad experience. The performers have been A++++, ranging from Katie Melua to Stephen Kellogg, Flook, Guggenheim Grotto, Eilen Jewell, so many wonderful shows. Seating is tight, but that’s because Eddie’s is intimate in the best sense of the word. You are literally right on top of the stage, but no funky (or painful!) craning to view the show. It’s not uncomfortable, you have a private (yay for that!) table, and the wait staff is very considerate about unobtrusively serving after a show has started. Food has always been excellent and we look forward to it. We’ve never felt the call to eat elsewhere before coming to Eddie’s. And I always appreciate the “listening room” announcement before a show starts and the sound guys are terrific. Eddie’s seems to draw a better quality fan patron, too. Check-in is low tech, efficient and blessedly drama-free. Parking is easy, convenient and free. Eddie’s is quirky, in a rambling old personality-full building, the (clean) bathrooms are sorely overworked, you have to be on task to score seats for many shows (“intimate”, remember?!) but Eddie’s is the venue others should model themselves on. Thanks for always providing a great experience, Eddie’s. Didn’t really appreciate you all til having had it “up to here” with another Atlanta venue last night.

We came here for a 9 pm show. There was another show at 7. That show evidently went over and it was 9 before we were allowed inside to be seated. The venue is cozy and the waiting area to enter is somewhat small so when everyone is trying to wait to get in, it seemed a bit crowded. When you purchase a table, it is first come choice so if you want a front one, you need to be at the door when it opens at 5. Was a little chaotic entering but once we were inside, everything was good. All seats seem be to be good here. I would come back for more shows in the future. Service was really great as well.

This place rocks! Parking was easy to find, I parked across the street at a church lot that was charging five dollars to support their church. The venue itself was amazing, service was very friendly. I was seated alone waiting for the show to start after I finished eating upstairs on the patio, and one of the waiters brought me a water out of nowhere. The acoustics were wonderful, and the seating was fantastic. General admission could sit at the bar or on padded bleachers that were incredibly comfortable. I would definitely come back here anytime.

For mid price fare I suggest Leons or Mac Mcgees.
For fine dinning I suggest Parker's on Ponce (a Steakhouse)
