A couple of weeks ago my wife and I spent most of a morning touring this history museum displaying household items and clothes used in Decatur long ago, among other categories of historical stuff..

Welcome to the Square in Decatur, where the old Courthouse is one of the first things you notice. A collection of beautifully sculptured bronzes of people relaxing on the benches around.

To think that I got to sit down and eat in the same room as so many trials took place is astounding. It’s a great venue for parties or weddings now. It’s a grand old palace seeped in Georgia history.

Convenient to Marta and the many restaurants of Decatur, Historic courthouse that is still being used. I hope they can keep it in good repair. They don't make buildings like this any more. A piece of history!

Beautiful place for a wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! My niece had her wedding ceremony there. Lower level was great for a cocktail hour. Plus they were able to have their wedding photos done in the courtyard.
