The square in Decatur is a really cute area to walk around. Parking is difficult to find. There is street parking (free on Sunday and holidays). Lots of restaurant choices and a few shops.

My family and I enjoy walking in the Decatur Square. It is surrounded by nice independent stores and restaurants. There are several festivals that take place there every year but the one we enjoy most is the Book Festival.

We toured this beautiful town center during the rain and it was so much fun. We stopped by the tourism office and picked up some maps and learned some history about the city.

The Decatur square hosts plenty of cool events throughout the year (arts festival over Memorial Day weekend; book festival over Labor Day weekend). But on any given evening, particularly in the summer or on weekends year round, this place buzzed with activity. Great restaurants everywhere,...More

We were in town for a concert and it was a nice little square to spend time just walking around looking. It has beautiful statues and murals and lots of little shops and restaurants to visit just by walking around.

This square with all its stores and restaurants is reminiscent of big city squares, with eats, shopping, greenspace and concerts being offered. Nice outing for all. Not too many 4 star restaurants, but sufficient eateries to satisfy the whole family. Brick Store Pub for hamburgers,...More
