We were so surprised that little Darien,Ga produces some of the most scrumptious sweets and chocolates. Sugar Marsh's confections are handmade with specialized care and ingredients. The options are endless. One as delicious as the next. We enjoyed everything we had. The ladies at Sugar Marsh personify southern hospitality. Friendly and helpful. The adorable historic cottage is worth the vist on it's own. The interior looks like a feature photo in Southern Living. Don't make a mistake and pass it by.

We met and shared a rental house with close friends in Townsend, Ga. for a weekend getaway. While unloading our cars at the house, we noticed a beautifully wrapped package of cookies and chocolates left there for us by the home owner-how thoughtful! We noticed the card on the package-this was purchased from Sugar Marsh Cottage in Darien. Very nice, but best of all, these were not ordinary treats, they were outstanding. So we just had to drive the 15 minutes to Darien, a very small town, to check out Sugar Marsh Cottage. What we found was a beautiful, stately old house that was the perfect showroom for the elaborate, inviting decorations for the professionally prepared and displayed themed chocolates, cookies, and the best toffee you've ever had. Everything was so delicious, but the owner, Dale, was there and she is what made the visit even more special. She was so sincerely friendly and enthusiastic in sharing the Sugar Marsh Cottage story and history. It was just a wonderful, unexpected experience, and we left with lots of delicious goodies. We will definitely be ordering more for not only ourselves, but family and friends. Everything they have is so beautifully packaged that whoever is lucky enough to receive one will be very impressed. Bonus-they have a lot of great samples to try, and even they are wrapped in such pretty ways.

My wife and I stopped by to pick up coastal Georgia Christmas gifts for my co-workers. There was a large variety of options and the staff was very helpful.

This is a neat place to stop - very interesting building. Pretty setting and smells amazing! The chocolates are pretty good, but the best things that we tried are the dipped shortbread cookies and the CARAMEL TURTLES WITH PECANS. Seriously, try the caramel!!! The staff were also quite friendly and we enjoyed our brief visit. We enjoyed the turtles enough to stop by again and pick up a few to bring home. They're pricey though, so guard your wallet!

This is well worth visiting, It is a chocolate-making-and-designing company, and some of the designs (i.e. -the LARGE white chocolate fish) are extraordinary. The house is beautifully decorated, and the people working there are warm and so nice! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because I am not super-fond of chocolate. I am aware I part of a huge minority - sure wish there was something coconut!! Oh - it is expensive, but when you consider what is involved with the making of the product, it is quite understandable

As a newcomer to the area, I received two separate welcome gifts that came from the Sugar Marsh Cottage. Oh my goodness! What a treat! The turtles are to die for!!! The dipped shortbread cookies were delicious. My favorites were the lemon and coconut. Oh, then there’s the chocolate, just yummy!

OMG! DElightful chocolates and cookies, all hand-made in the beautiful building. When you enter, the fragrance of the cookies baking will make you drool! They offer samples, which can be dangerously addictive! You won't regret anything you purchase here...and they wrap it up prettily too for great gift giving!

We were looking for chocolate, and we found a gem! The Sugar Marsh Cottage is tucked in a little hidden neighborhood located in Darien, GA., and they create some of the most delicious chocolate creations you will ever eat! When you enter the cottage, you take a step back in time, as it is a historic mansion that has been well cared for and turned into a cottage full of bakery goodness. The hostess greets you with a tray of different samples, which draws you into buying as much chocolate as you can afford! Their chocolate is creatively designed into sea shaped morsels of chocolate heaven! There are peppermint chocolate shrimp, and white chocolate sea shells, along with sugar cookies dipped in various blends of bittersweet chocolate and toffee. OH MY GOODNESS...it was the most delicious place we visited! We can't wait to return in the summer!
