A great place to take pictures and go for a walk. The creek that run beside the mill is a great place to fish and have a picnic.

This mill is pretty cool. We took the kids one evening and walked around the area. It's grown up a lot since I was small. Lots of people also go there to have professional pictures made. There are tractors & a train car across the road as well. There is usually a festival once or twice a year there too.

If the weather is nice and not hot its a fun thing to walk around and check out all the crafts. Be prepared to have your walking shoes on. Not really good for wheel chairs, maybe a few places. You have to search for restrooms. Parking is ok but like I say be prepared to walk. Im really not sure... More

Drove out for nothing.... Did not even get out of car. Seemed like a local park with people hanging out. Nothing inviting enough to make want to get out of car.

Prater's Mill is chocked full of history. From the bygone era of the cotton gin to the mill itself, you can visit and imagine yourself back in time. While there's not much happening most of the year, families can picnic on the grounds under cover. A few times a year, ther are festivals and events happening. And the Prater's Mill... More
