Did you know Georgia is the only place in the world where the gold is the most pure? That's right 23.9k and if you come to Dahlonega you're going to catch an age old fever known as 'Gold Fever.' Dahlonega, Georgia is home to the first Gold Rush in the United States starting as early as 1828 well before the... More

My teenagers and I came here during vacation due to the previous reviews. 3 of us shared the $50 gem bucket and each walked away with a bag of beautiful gems. Every employee that we came in contact with was friendly, helpful, and smiling. What a great crew!

Great place for kids and adults! The staff is so friendly and engaging! A must do if in the area! It's a short drive from Ellijay and Blue Ridge. Be sure to find Miner Mine and have him take a look at your gems we were surprised with our finds!

The best part of the tour is the setting and the surrounding area you can almost feel what it was like to be here during the Gold Rush. History worth experiencing.

Really great tour. Guide gave plenty of historical info on a 40 minute tour. Really knowledgable about the mine. After the tour the kids were able to pan for gold and gems. Bought the $50 bucket which was plenty for our 3 kids. Left with large number of "gems". Really great stop, definitely recommend if you have kids.

Brought my nieces and nephews here and had way too much fun. We did the gem mining and left very happy!!! Walked out with rubies, sapphires, emeralds, amethysts, and other jewelry quality stones, not to mention awesome minerals. We bought the $50 and $30 bucket for the 8 of us. JD went through and told us what every stone was... More

We stopped here to try something different and were happy that we did. Very interesting and learned a lot about mining that we had no idea about. Steven was our miner guide and he was great. Full of interesting facts and made the tour fun. You get to pan for gold after the tour, a little more art to that... More

We had such a great time in the mine with the guide. Our experience ended with some mineral mining where we turned our best minerals into jewelry. Miner Mike was great!! Wonderful experience.
