Our tour guide, Tristan, was knowledgeable, warm, funny and engaging. The mine is only 1/4 mi. from the town square, which was decorated for Christmas, so it made for a lovely day trip. I recommend it!

Yes, 2 hours should be fine. You go in and purchase your tickets. The tours leave about every 20 minutes and you can do a little gold panning until they call your tour. Seems like it was only a bout 10-15 minutes. Tour is maximum 45 minutes and includes a brief movie.
