We did the tour as well as the gemstone bucket. The tour was great, the guide was both knowledgeable and funny. He easily switched from answering my young children's questions to dealing with the teenagers in our group. The gemstone bucket was a nice addition to our trip made even better by the tour guide. Absolutely wonderful business, would absolutely... More

We decided to visit this place after researching online things to do near the place we were staying. It was the favorite for our children, ages 10 and 12. We chose the mine tour with gold panning and gem stone mining. We did this for our family of four for $84.00. It was worth it! Everyone had a blast!(Joke intended.)... More

Consolidated Gold Mine is a gem! Get it? The staff has a lot of fun telling stories, which makes the tour a lot of fun!! I wasn't expecting to be able to go as far down in the mine as we did. It is an easy walk down, but a little taxing coming up. The staff gives you plenty of... More

This is the only place you need to consider when looking for a mining experience! The old mine is amazing, the mine tour was unbelievable to experience as well as funny and informative. When mining, my wife unearthed an Emerald which Miner Mike is currently cutting and setting into a pair of pendants for my wife and mother. Hands down,... More

We did not do the tour because we had a toddler and baby, but we did pan for gold and got a large bucket of gemstones to dig through. The staff were all friendly and good with the kids. There was no rushing us during our "mining", and my toddler loved digging the gemstones bucket to put in the sifter,... More
