My family loved seeing the mine and panning for jewels and gold. We had a pair of earrings made from a jewel she found. They came back quickly and they even sent the leftover raw jewel back for her to keep.

All in all spent around an hour and a half. Kids loved it, but pricey for the time. We did the tour and a bucket of gems. Kids loved the gems they got. They use the gem mining as a way to get folks to buy custom jewelry. Worth it one time, but wouldn't go back

Coming on a vacation from Orlando Florida, I had all activities everyday planned out, but this was not on my list. Asking the kids (8 and 5) if they would be interested they immediately (to my surprise) said yes. It was probably the best part of my trip. The history behind the mine was amazing. Our tour guide was energetic,... More

Outstanding experience. Two seniors, one adult, 14 yrold boy, 10 yrold girl. All valued the tour very much. Stairs down, damp below and fairly steep walk back up so be prepared. Fantastic explanation of mining over 150 years ago. Back up, panned for gold -- came with mine tour. Not exciting. Purchased $50 gem bucket for kids. More than enough,... More

We had a great visit at Consolidated Gold Mine. The staff members were great. We panned for gold and gems and went on the cave tour. I would highly recommend stopping here if you are in the area

This is the second time we have been here. It's always a consistent great time!!!! Family atmosphere and the panning for gold is easy for 11 yr old to do. The walk takes about 30 minutes and is not too strenuous. We did this before going kayaking.

Not planned but worth to stop by. You need at least 1h for the mine . Before entering the mine you need to watch a video which is short but provides you with some facts about gold mining and the area. In the mine you walk through the main tunnel. Our guide CJ provided us with a lot of information... More
