We had an outstanding tour of Plum Orchard and found out so many interesting historical facts about Mrs Lucy and her children. Loved every minute of the tour!!
The Plum Orchard Mansion is a great stop to make when on Cumberland Island. You have go have a bike to get there and back if you are day tripping it. Well worth the trip, and the volunteers have lots of information regarding the house and all the changes it has gone through
The Plum Orchard mansion is well worth the bumpy ride to the north end of the island. This beautiful structure is full of surprises for the history buff. Be sure to take the tour with the well informed guides.
Excellent exposition of the turn of the last century owners, grandiose home and lifestyle. Parts of the house have the feel of an early 20th century athletic club.
A needed must is a tour guide to explain the historical significance which is not readily apparent on a self guided tour.
