Island is beautiful and we enjoyed the day. I believe the trails and roads could be marked better indicating water and distance

Though in our 60's, hubs and I are in pretty good shape and we NEEDED to be for this trip. We had to pay for our (early) ferry ride, but our Nat'l Parks pass got us on the island for free. We decided not to...More

Left early morning. Book the ticket online in advance since they only allow a couple hundred people per day over. 45 minute wonderful boat ride over. Once there we rented bikes and rode the middle island road about a mile up. Turned and headed to...More

The food was wonderful, breakfast, lunch or dinner. The staff made you feel well-cared-for while seeming casually friendly. A beautiful location. My only suggestion would be to have bicycles is better working order. It's nice to have them available but they suffer from the climate....More

Have had this on my list to do for sometime now. Was glad we did it. The ferry is 24 and there is a 10.00 entrance fee for the National Park. The ferry was nice and the beachs and horses were nice to see.

Took the ferry from St. Marys Georgia to Cumberland Island. The beach was amazing, the water also. Best to bring lunch, water and whatever you need with you as there is nothing available to purchase. Definitely a must do if you are near the area

Great place to go to the beach looking for shells or playing in the water. Wooded paths for hiking and seeing wildlife. Wild horses, deer and manatees. Also a great place to look for sharks teeth. This was the first time I have ever found...More

Our day on Cumberland exceeded out expectations. The island is beautiful and the beach is stunning. Use sunscreen and bug spray, we left without one bug bite and no sunburn!

Day rentals are around $16.00 and overnight rentals are $20.00. No trikes are available for rent, though. You can take your own bike on the ferry, too. Also, the NPS has some rules around bike use. Check out the NPS... More

Hi! The bundle of firewood is $6.00 (as of April of 2018) and the bag of ice was $5.00, I think. If you're taking the first morning ferry, not much is open around the visitor's center. Also, no drugstore to buy ice or... More
