Found a reference to Kadie the Cow online and went to see her. Loved it! Formerly the mascot of Kinnett Dairy, her location became a Best Buy store. When that closed the locals were worried about her. The city council ruled that Kadie was now so old that she qualified as a historical landmark, and gave her and her surrounding lawn the protection of a permanent easement. Local Boy Scouts clean her up as needed.

Cute attraction .. Should be moved to a different location .. And poor thing needs a bath ... But kids and adults alike will love posing with it for pictures

Kadie used to stand on the hill in front of the old Kinnett's Dairy location, now occupied by Best Buy. For decades she was a landmark, at what was pretty much the North entrance to Columbus, long before I-185 or Peachtree Mall were built. After the dairy closed, Katie was removed for some years before being returned to her original location.

It is doubtful that newcomers or visitors will understand the significance of this icon, but for those who grew up in the Columbus area, she is a fond memory of a simpler time.

Kadie is a 55 year old icon of the city and it’s most famous resident. I frequently ride my bike on the riverwalk, and always makes a pilgrimage to rub Kadie’s udders for good luck. Don’t miss her if you’re in the downtown area!

I would give Kadie 100/10 if I could. We were finally allowed to travel again after Covid-19 and the 12 hour car ride was definitely worth it. After reading about Kadie's history for months, seeing her in all of her glory brought tears to my eyes. I would cross oceans to see Kadie. Will definitely be back. We plan to visit the other cows like Kadie across the country!

It just shows that there is not much to do here when a big replica of a cow is considered an attraction. That's all I have to say.

Kadie probably would not mean a lot to someone who was not raised around Columbus and a visitor may not find her all that interesting but Kadie was very special at one time. There use to be a Kinnett Dairy there - where the Best Buy is now - in front of the dairy was a HUGE lush green lawn.

Kadie stood in the middle of the lawn - she really stood out and was a landmark for over 50 years! People would give directions by saying "you go past Kadie..." - I remember on some Sunday's when we would be out riding around, my dad would take us to see Kadie so we could get up close - when you are 5 years old and see a giant cow standing in a big field, it is quite amazing. We have fond memories of going to see her and riding by her.

Sadly, without the big green field and without the dairy and just sadly standing in the corner of the Best Buy parking lot, she may not seem like much to people who didn't grow up knowing her history but if you did know here, she still brings fond memories when you see her.

I needed more copies of Paul blart mall cop on DVD to add to my collection and I had to go past this weird cow to get inside. I approached one of the "employees" at the geek squad counter and asked where they kept the Paul blarts ( I run a blart business where I ship the mall cop dvds all over the world). Anyway, the geek was very rude and asked too many question I got spooked and left immediately. I don't need to explain myself to an "employee". If you like big cows go here just be careful of the overly inquisitive "employees". Call me if you need a Paul blart DVD. BEST BUY? MORE LIKE BAD BUY.

I remember Katie (you misspelled it, not me!) the cow from the time I was very young. I attended Gentian Road Elementary School for a short time in 2nd grade, the Kinnett Dairy was where our milk came from. Katie is still a landmark for me; she brings back fond memories. I was glad they didn't remove her when the dairy closed.

My family and I actually had just left a restaurant in a local motel and as we were walking to our vehicle I could see her across the road pass the trees. I shrieked with excitement when I saw her, because I had read of her but did not realize I would see her. Don"t take her away! Leave her alone!
