This theater has been available to the area for well over 100 years. The interior reminds you of a large Ford Theater in Washington, DC. It's beautiful and offers venues for which you'd be required to pay at least twice as much. It offers summer programs for children and involves local talent as well as talent as far away as... More

I recently saw Beauty and the Beast at the Springer Opera House and it was amazing! The Springer is a historic theater right in the heart of downtown Columbus, Ga. It is within walking distance to several restaurants as well. It has a beautiful lobby and a bar to grab a drink during intermission. Check their scheduled shows and try... More

I have attended several productions at the Springer and have enjoyed everyone. I saw the Wizard of Oz a few years back and the production was fabulous. I wasn't sure how I would enjoy it, being a fan of the movie. I was very surprised. The cast was wonderful and the stage didn't take anything away from the magical experience... More

The Springer Opera House is an excellent place to take in a little history while you are watching a good live performance. It is "just the right size" for an evening of theater. Foley hall is not bad, but you must see a show in the original main theater to get the true experience.

The Springer is very unique. Beautiful decor and ambiance. This was my first year as a season ticket holder. The Springer has a variety of shows to suite each individual. You will laugh, cry, dance in your seat and want to sing along. The performers are very professional. They do not allow cell phones to be on in the theater which... More

As a local, we never miss a show at the Springer. The productions rival anything you'll see in any city, nationwide. This historic building is the State Theatre of Georgia, and their seasons are always a perfect mix of the familiar and new works. If you're in town and there's a show playing, go see it. Have a drink in... More
