So we booked a birthday party for our son. We paid for 30 guests with the bigger option of the two for the party. We also added on a wildlife walk for everyone. After spending a considerable amount of money I’m not sure it really met those expectations. In the few weeks leading up to the party I never heard anything from the zoo. It took me multiple attempts to reach someone and was always forgot about. Sally was sweet and apologized but it would have been nice to speak to someone in charge of the party. I just wanted to feel like we mattered and were taken care of. I finally got an itinerary maybe two days before the actual party. Once we got there and met Ethan and Ashlyn they were absolutely wonderful. Super sweet and informative when doing the meet and greet with our animals. I received an email stating to wait for pictures but no one was there taking them and I would have loved that. Unfortunately it stormed so we didn’t go to the petting zoo or the wildlife walk. Nobody came to check on us though with the rain and we packed up and cleaned everything ourselves. No one offered to give us a rain check I had to go ask for one which was sad after everything. I mean overall they were sweet and the animals were cute my son had a great time. I would not recommend spending all that money for a party though. Going for the day with your kids yes of course because they are nice and the animals are great. But they need better communication moving forward and more concern for the customer.

The purpose of our trip was to participate in the Otter Experience and we were not disappointed! We were able to spend about 45 minutes with two of the otters along with one other couple. The trainer was very friendly and informative and we enjoyed interacting with the otters and watching them interact with each other. Definitely recommend that you purchase the photo package as personal cameras and phones are not allowed in the otter enclosure. We were required to purchase the Safari Drive Through Pass to gain admission to the area where the otters are kept and this was a very enjoyable activity as well. The Llamas were especially entertaining as they came right up to the car and even stuck their heads inside our windows to see if we had any treats! All the animals we saw seemed to be well cared for and curious about the visitors.

We did the Wolf puppy experience and it was so incredible! This was such an amazing thing as we were able to meet Bane's pup and we had met Bane back when he was a young wolf!
Every experience we have at North Georgia Wildlife Park & Zoo has been amazing! We have done so much and look forward to each experience!
When you visit, give yourself plenty of time! There is the petting zoo, animal walk (we have done that twice), and whatever experience you add (which I HIGHLY recommend).
We have done the wolf experience, young wolf experience, wolf puppy experience, exotic cat experience and reptile experience. The staff is AMAZING and they remember you (which is so nice). They are full of knowledge and truly love their jobs and the animals they work with (you can see that in their interactions and the compassion they have when they educate you about the various animals).

Wolf encounter was great. Anyone that loves wolves I highly recommend doing the encounter. All my life I wanted to pet a wolf and interact with them and I got to do it there at North GA Zoo. You do have a dress code to go by when in the pen with the wolves.

I booked this zoo based on top Otter experiences in the country and couldn't be happier with the experience. It was worth every dollar. You were able to play with them, learn about their habits, and hold them. I paid for zoo admission and the photo package when I arrived. The zoo tour was worth the admission cost. The photo package is a must since you are already seeking this experience. If you're on the fence, it really is worth it.
Lastly, our two guides/coordinators for the experience were great!
P.S. we did not do the splash experience because it wasn't open yet, but if you book that you can play in the pool with them!

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us this thoughtful review, we absolutely love sharing the wonder of our otters with fellow otter-fans -- they are some of our favorite animals here!

My visit was more than wonderful. Daniel was our tour guide for the wildlife walk. He was very knowledgeable, and you can tell he is really passionate about his job. He shared information about each and every animal and stopped to ask if we had questions. He took the time to explain things, and share his experiences with us.
We also had access to the drive through safari and petting zoo. All of the animals were fun to visit with.

We did the drive-thru zoo activity. The children loved it and our oldest enjoyed feeding the animals (tossing animal feed). Through times like this, it was a great activity that promotes social distancing, which is important to us. We purchased our tickets a few days in advance and although we arrived 30 minutes early, we were able to start immediately. It wasn’t crowded, we didn’t feel rushed and the attendant was great.

My wife and I did the drive-thru zoo. It was a bargain for $5. While it only took the two of us approximately 30 minutes to drive through, I imagine if we had children it would take more time. Additionally, I purchased the camel feeding for my wife's birthday gift, and we had a blast. It was $10 per person, and we were able to feed a super sweet camel named Josiah. We definitely want to go back.

This is an amazing zoo! Everyone was great. We felt extremely safe during the whole thing given that we are still working with the pandemic. (The photo was taken socially distanced by another patron. The staff cannot touch personal belongings to keep from spreading germs.)

I’m generally not a big fan of the zoo, but this smaller zoo was full of employees who seem to really care about the animals and the visitors. I was initially prompted to go because I heard they had Capybaras there, which my son has recently taken a liking to. At first I thought it was a little pricy for the meetup, but it was a good 45 minute experience with a small group of people, so we got to really enjoy these gentle giants!

How long should I spend here if I'm with a 9-year-old and an 8-year old? Thanks.

Make a reservation on the website. Depends on he experiences you buy. If you do 1 experience, then there is the animal adventure (at least an hour) and petting zoo. So like 2-3 hours, would be my suggestion. Definitely make reservations though!

Is it better to get the regular zoo admission or just the petting zoo admission with a 2 year old coming along? Thanks!

Petting zoo! It’s enough for a 2 year old and lots of fun. Otherwise the other tour is an hour (my kids wouldn’t have done well as toddlers!). and You really have to make sure children don’t wander.

I have no clue. I just found out about the Sloth Experience a week ago when they sent me the info. I would think it would be the same as the Wolf Experience. Hope this was some help.

Hey there! Admission is included in the cost for the Adventure Package :)
Can anyone tell me what types of animal ambassadors they got to meet on their encounter? We are doing an Otter Splash and it says we'll meet some of them. Just curious what types of animals I'll get to meet :)

On this tour you will get to see and learn about a different variety of exotic animals. From Wolves to Kangaroo, Porcupines, Birds, Gibbon, Lemurs and more! You may have some hands on time with some of these animals like feeding porcupines, Bearcat, etc. This all depends on the day and what animals we have that day. We are a traveling Zoo as well so sometimes our Animal Ambassadors are on Field trips and so on! I hope this helped answer your question! Please feel free to also call us at 706-348-7279
