Brilliant! I went with my Dad and daughters in August 2016. We waded in the river with some shovels and pans and dug around. My father found a very nice colored stone which was a good size and gave it to my youngest daughter, Sam. A few days later we found out that it was a ruby and we sent... More

We bought a large bucket for the family to split as we panned for gems. The kids LOVED discovering their treasures and then visiting the in-house lapidary shop.

The girls had a great hour sifting through their buckets of sand and plucking out various gems. It is worth the cost of admission.

Heather and Mallory seemed unconcerned, Mallory sat outside talking to a guy for two hours and when we first came in did not even speak. Water was filthy and filled with spiders , leaves and dirt. Needs cleaning. Mallory screamed really angrily and nasty at my 8 year old granddaughter to not pick up the sign. Nothing wrong with telling... More

This would be a 5 if it wasn't for Heather who works there. We went here three times while we stayed because it was quite fun. We did 1 half day at the river ($15 each), two full days at the river ($25 each), and a bucket of gems ($30 for two gallons). The first and second days were amazing... More

We went to this mine because of all the wonderful write-ups on trip advisor, however, we were so disappointed in this place. We had been to other mines on our trip that were sooooo much better and much more fun. There was no-one out by the sluices to guide you and give you insight into what you were finding. Since... This location has the traditional gem experience where you buy a bucket and screen for gems. It also has the river screen/pan for gems/gold. The river experience was a lot of fun and a much different experience than the buy a bucket. I highly recommend this experience for adults and/or children who know their gems and have several hours and... More

My husband and I went to Gold n Gem Grubbin' originally to pan for gold. He had done it before, but I had not. After discussing our options with the girl that helped us, we decided to try for gems instead. We each got a $60.00 - 5 gallon bucket to see what we could find. We picked a shady... More

My husband and adult son where excited to go to this attraction because you could pan right in the river. The girl behind the counter checked then in and said it was unguided. Which I guess means no help at all. There was no help or any instruction. They got down to the river and didn't even know there was... More
