Great fun here. I enjoyed my first visit and will be back the next time I'm in Clayton. Interesting show on the top floor. Never even made it to the lower floor-- had to be somewhere else. Loved the Comet Lady upstairs.

A very eclectic collection of mostly rural/primitive art. We bought an original painting from them and they treated us very well. Most of their collection simply isn't my style, but it's worth taking a look; you'll probably see something you like.

Neat to see a place that features local artists. Many kinds of art available from folk to modern- painting to sculptures. You can spend a little or a lot.

My wife and I discovered Main Street Gallery during a trip from Asheville to Atlanta in 2013. We have visited several times since then and purchased pieces at the gallery an by telephone from our home in Florida. Our older daughter also has purchased several pieces by telephone. Working with the owner, Jeanne, and manager, Donn, is a pleasure. Also,... More

This is a small gallery on Main Street. It has mosaic around the storefront that I just adore! The people that work there are super friendly. There are 3 levels. The art is interesting and very colorful.

The prices were fair and there was a good representation of folk art from local artists and not so local. I really enjoyed it and spent over an hour looking at all the paintings and sculptures. A must visit for lovers of folk art.

Come in to browse, to feast your eyes, and to buy a friend a little something made in the USA, by hand, with heart and soul, and fit for being treasured for years to come. I've never gone wrong with gifts or greeting cards from the gallery.

A visit to this gallery puts some of the most collectible of SE American folk art at your fingertips and the prices put them easily within reach of casual or novice collectors. This is a huge and diverse collection and should be on your must visit list if you are in the area and have the remotest interest in the... More
